This beer is really good! This beautiful, golden yellow colored beer pour briskly from the sexy green bottle. It had a pleasant, mildly sweet aroma that wasnt at all skunky. Very well balanced with a nice floral bouquet of hops that hid the skunk from my palate. Very clean and smooth in the finish. Props to the brewmaster, this beer is a world class treat that you all will love........if you like to get fucked in the ass!

(Green) Bottle. WOAH.......what a skunk surprise. This is country #49 for me. Austria is on deck, which will be followed by the "WTF, how did I miss this the whole time?" Italy. Golden appearance, small head. Some malts, some skunk, some very old, dry fruits, and more skunk. And what’s with Eastern European brewers calling their beers shit like "12%" when it’s much lower alcohol? I’m not liking this stuff at all. I don’t see how it even got a 2.73 average (as of 7/2004)

Bland nose, bland palate. Crisp hoppy finish, with a somewhat creamy mid-palate. Altogether uninteresting...Maybe nice on a hot day.

Golden colour. Moderate hops in the aroma along with grass, malt. Flavour of saaz hops, bready malt, grass. Fresh, creamy mouthfeel. Medium body and carbonation. Finish is a little light with a mild bitterness. Quite nice.

Malty aroma with slight skunkiness (green bottle in sun). Golden colour with a small head. Malty, flavour with a dry tart taste. Nice mouth, but a little flat. Still a good pils but nothing special.

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2004 Bottled (ABV 5.0%, label "Golden Pheasant Premium", BB 12/2004)
Beautiful goldem with white head, lace. Strong hoppy Saaz-nose, slightly dunk. Flavor is more sweet malty than bitter hoppy. Medium-balanced body, bitter hops come in aftertaste. (4/3/6/3/11 2.7)
Re-rated, bottle (BB 07/2005, alc. 4.6%, label "Golden Pheasant Premium")
Lager color, creamy mostly vanishing white head. Fresh "Urquell"-nose when you open the bottle, then a bit metallic. Smooth malty palate with a good balance from hops. (7/2/6/4/13 3.2)

Pretty ok beer, nothing that one would expect to be imported, I don’t know if it was worth shipping it all the way from Slovak. All in all tastes kind of like a high quality American standard

Smells like a skunks ass, little carmel, corn syrup. Initial taste, hoppy similar to a Labbatt Blue. Dwindels off to Corn Flakes and perfume. Slight bitter finish

Lightly spicy, herbal hop aroma, faint notes of hay and Pilsner malt. Golden yellow color, very effervescent with slight lacing and head. Flavor is lightly malty to start, some very short flowery notes about midpoint and a crisp, dry, gently bitter and hoppy (Saaz) finish. Fairly refreshing, the only real complaint would be perhaps a general blandness and lack of character.
