My first Slovakian beer. Poured a dark yellowish gold. Good aroma that i couldn’t put my finder on. Not much head, just a ring of bubbles. Was pleasantly surprised by the taste! Citrus, a bit fruity, and a touch of sweetness. Loved it!

Herrlich! Test vom 26.4.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,13,14,13,10,14

16oz Can, purchased at I.M. Gan - Warwick, RI. Thank god for cans. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for lately. Fresh, bright, drinkable pils! I guess if you’re dumb enough to buy this out of a green bottle, you get what you pay for. Otherwise, we’re on! Juicy, fresh, crackery, lively. Some slight aromatics and enough hop juiciness. Ah....should have bought a case.

Here’s a beer that suffers from traveling. Not as nearly as good here in North America or in bottle as the real stuff that I got from tap in Eastern Europe. Despite all that, even the bottled version is very drinkable with a smooth well balanced body with a soft, non-offensive flavor. Thumbs up...

What can i really expect from a beer that is called a golden pheasant. Maybe a golden eagle, but a golden pheseant? come on, that should be the name for a four O of malt liqour. But anyway it was fairly good, nothing stood out, but the flavors blended well, and i enjoyed it.

Pours straw color with a nice white head. Smells of dry malt, some perfume, some nice spicy hints, to9uches of fruitiness. Tastes dry and peppery with a nice underlying bitterness. Great beer!

Clear bright golden yellow with a proud pillowy white head. Lovely Saaz hop aroma and taste up front, backed by a ’little too sweet’ bready maltiness. Silky bittersweet finish. Yummy Bohemian Pilsener. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass at the World of Beer in Cary, NC. This beer is a clear golden color with a large white head. The aroma is full of malt and hops, very inviting. The flavor has a sweet malt flavor with some hop bite. A very good Czech Pilsener.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2008 Nice white head that goes away pretty quickly. Aroma of nice floral hops mostly, with a tad bit of Moravian malt sweetness in their too. Nice. Flavour is almost identical to the aroma but with a tad bit more emphasis on the bitter Saaz hops. It’s my kind of Pils, in that the sweet, almost fruity malts prevent an overly-dry, hoppy finish and undertone to the beer. A very nice aftertaste of those pils malts, with a hint of Saaz. A decent one over-all IMHO, eminently drinkable, as a good pilsener should be. Worth a try if you’re into the Bohemian Pilsner, which I am. Don’t be put off by the low percentile.

On tap at the Czech Inn Dublin. Pours a darker gold with a full white head. Aroma is sour mash and grapes. Taste is sweet malt, hops and a nice mellow end. Impressed.
