A rather average pilsener, watery and unpleasantly bitter with a sour tang. The Czechs brew much better beers than this.

Light gloden color with a white head. Very mild sweet aroma. Thinner body with balance leading to some off flavor bitterness. Dry light spice finish.

Bright light golden, faint white head. The nose is slightly skunked, some grass and quite sugary...just a touch of phenols as well? The body is lightly spritzed and sweet with a light hop bitterness. A light crisp bitterness continues on and ends the beer. Dries a little at the end.

A golden yellow beer when poured. The aroma was skunky. The taste was a real bad impersonation of a Heineken. The finish was both bitter and sour.Youi can keep this in Europe.

Lightly spicy, herbal hop aroma, faint notes of hay and Pilsner malt. Golden yellow color, very effervescent with slight lacing and head. Flavor is lightly malty to start, some very short flowery notes about midpoint and a crisp, dry, gently bitter and hoppy (Saaz) finish. Fairly refreshing, the only real complaint would be perhaps a general blandness and lack of character.

Aroma is like Cream of Rice and brown sugar - first impression is that it’s nice to come across any Eastern Bloc brew that doesn’t smell skunky! Great rust color with lots of bubbles clinging to the side of the glass - but the head and bubbly appearance fall flat after a minute or so. Nevertheless, mouthfeel remains well-carbonated though at the same time rather syrupy. The flavor of this beer really doesn’t differ much from the excellent aroma, but in a professional sense the taste of a beer should differ in that it possesses more "zing" than the aroma, lest the taste should fall flat. Well, the flavor of this beer possesses no "zing", but nevertheless Golden Pheasant shouldn’t be slighted as a totally bad beer. Just that the taste is rather flat and perfumey; and sadly, the skunkiness missing from the aroma reappears in the flavor itself.

Bottled. Golden colour, white bubbly head. Sweet malty aroma with hints of hops. Weak flavour of malt and bitterness. Dry finish. Pretty boring compared to many other beers from Czechia and Slovakia

Bottle. Strong euro pils aroma. Gold body with small particalia and steady plentiful visible carbonation. Small white head, mostly diminishing. Nice lace. Dry flavor. No blatant flaws but no outstanding qualities either. I like the logo and packaging; the etched pheasant logo on the glass is sharp. Unfortunately, the product inside does not live up to it. Disappointing.

Bottle Buffalo Brew Fest. Golden color, white head. Grass and mildly skunky, light pale malt. Somewhat sweet, watch out for the cat piss. Light bodied. Beware the green bottle.
