Twist off Bottle via Cuso a few trades ago. Found the rating notes in a vertical file pile of stuff still to do. Light to medium brown. No legs. Lightly carbonated. malty sweet and well balanced. Not as yeasty as I thought or expected. Still has a pleasant undertone of yeast. Quick rounded sweet finish. Yummy. PS. The bottle was too small.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy (?), dark brown, almost black colour with a short and tanned foamy layer. Roast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, candied fruits and ashes. Roasty bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light bodied with a calm carbonation. Roasty and slightly ashy malt-character with notes of caramel and traces of molasses; slim but still very roasty, even a bit burnt finish. Drinkable, lacks body. 28.III.12

Flaška ( z Prešpurku, diky!): Very deep amber coloured, smaller stable tanned, caramel, dark toaste malt dried fruits and some ashes in the nose; sweet - but not very sweet - flavour with a very delicate acidity, light bodied; dried fruits in the pretty slim caramelly-ashy finish. O.K., by standards of the Golden Pheasant…

Bottle at home in London, many thanks to Cuso. Pours dark, red-brown with a strong, creamy tan head. Aroma holds lots of dark berries, toast, jammy fruits. Light to medium sweet flavor, some modest roast, dark fruits, berries, rich multi-grain toast, faint cocoa. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly sweet finish with mild metallic bite, some toasty bread, berries, light earth, some prunes and raisins. It’s a fine beer. Nothing wrong.

bottle shared with coldbrewky. hazy dark amber, capped by a small head, fair retention. undernotes of caramel, pit fruit and distant nut. seems a bit salty for some reason.

Murky dark brown colour with small light tan head. Malt and some sweetness in aroma. Dark fruits, plums and toasted malt in flavour. Watery and thin. Disappointment.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2012 Pours with a smooth head, that very quickly disintegrates into literally nothing. Colour is dark chocolate, most appealing thing this beer has to offer. Aroma lacking, hints of coffee with a little chocolate and above all roasty. Taste REALLY mild. There seems to be a harmony between bitterness and sweetness, but it is very very mild, watery. Some hints of coffee, a bit earthy. I expected more from this beer, it is drinkable, but not worth the title "special", in fact there is nothing special about it, everything too mild. 3 4 2 2 6 = 1.7

Revisited 25.7. . No head to speak of, dark brown colour. Aroa dark chocolate, roasted, dried fruits, quite nice. Taste is still literally watery, I don’t know if they used HGB with this or what (does not make sense with 13,9°, but whatever, Heineken...). Light to medium bitter, light to medium sweet. Mouthfeel oily, finish is somewhat sticky, more on the sweet side. While it definitely helped this beer to lay down a bit, bad beer stays a bad beer forever...

Bottle from supemarket in Bratislava. This is special Xmas beer for 2011. Dark golden color with medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, banana, earthy notes. Taste, banana, caramel, milk chocolate, coffee and again earthy hints. Long, light bitter-sour finish. Not so sweet as I expected. Drinkable.
