COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Zlatý Bažant dark beer is unique for its typical bouquet presenting a mixed aroma of special malted barleys and quality hops. The beer is characterised by a sweetish caramel flavour and proportional, mild bitterness. This beer is very popular also in a half-and-half combination with pale beer, known as the "cut" beer.

Butelka. Barwa ciemno brunatna, nieprzejrzysta z rubinowymi refleksami. Piana beżowa obfita drobno pęcherzykowa, utrzymująca się i oblepiająca szkło. W aromacie ubogie. W smaku delikatnie wyczuwalny karmel i goryczka paloności.

Ładny aromat jabłek, karmelu, są estry owocowe, paloność, lekka kawa. Piana dość szybko się redukuje, ale nie do zera, średnio zdobi szkło. Piwo ciemne, brunatne, nieprzejrzyste. Smak to kawa, słodowość, słaba goryczka, lekkie owoce. Polecam.

Pours a deep brown color, topped with an average tan colored head. Pleasant mild roasted aroma, some caramel in there too. The taste is sweet and roasty, caramel notes can be also tasted, with a slightly bittery finish. Nice and creamy, very drinkable.

Sweet aroma coming from a dark brown pour with no head or lacing. The palate is roasted malts and cola with hints of chocolate. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, while not great from a dark beer standpoint, Otis tasty and very drinkable.

Enyhén áttetsző fekete főzet hamar felserkenő, majd éppoly’ sietősen távozó halványbarna habbal, melyből pillanatok alatt vékonyka gyűrű képződik a pohár falához tapadva. Illata édes, kevés pörkölt maláta, barna kenyér, kávé aromája és némi aszalványos hangulat is található benne. Közepes szénsavasságához enyhe test párosul, bár ízében némi karaktert vélünk felfedezni, amikor a porcukorral édesített kávé tejes vonulata a maga egyszerűségében megérkezik.

Few years ago Zlatý Bažant was for me like a definition of awesome beer. Now - it just isn’t. It’s like typical Dunkel for the people. Nothing special, nothing interesting.

Picked up a bottle in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia. Here it’s branded Zlatý Bažant Černé (which translates to Golden Pheasant Black [beer] - amusing in it’s own way). Pours very dark, almost black. Against the light it’s reddish brown. Foamy tan head, that lingers a while. Nose is caramel, malt, and coffee - big coffee notes. Taste is fairly sweet, somewhat like Riesen’s Coffee Candies. Molosses-like. Medium body, lively carbonation. Decent brew.

0.5l can. Very dark ruby body (almost totally black), light brown head. Aroma of burnt sugar and cocoa with a hint of dark fruits. Taste of cocoa, caramel and dark fruis. Light medium body, not so intense carbonation. OK beer
