| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 14, 2004 Updated: Aug 24, 2004(Bottled, 4.0% ABV) A nice and clear, dark ruby red color with a small, beige head. Mild, slightly roasted, sweet caramel-malty aroma. The dark chocolate and coffee flavor starts off dry and roasted, and ends sweetish and caramel-malty, with a bitter finish and a quite long, sticky and syrupy aftertaste. Medium-bodied, low-carbonated, syrupy and bitter palate. A very pleasant and easily drinkable dunkel. MiP (9065), Sønderborg, Denmark

this brew is in the classic Slovakian dark style, rather dry, medium bodied and with a surprising lack of roasty notes ... well brewed, but lacks a bit of originality ... oh6gdx (8838), Vasa, Finland

Dark chocolate and caramel in aroma and hints of roasted malt. Sweet malty flavour with hints of plum and dark chocolate. Chocolate grows a bit in the finish. Sadly not much much aftertaste. Very wellbalanced.
