2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft (in Bratislava). Smalls faintly of toasted malt. A little bitter from hops, but not much. It is rather sweet, almost syrupy. Nor my favourite Slovakian dark!

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Some chlorine in the nose. Not much of a adrk malt character, they must have just added colouring. Sweetish, with some syruppy type flavours, finishes a little dryer.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
From tap @Bratislavska Restauracia (Bratislava Flagship Restaurant) A dark brown pour with good clarity. Tall sand-colored head. Nose is sweet caramel malts, brown sugar and a light bready tone. Sweet-flavored. Dark bread, brown sugar and burnt caramel. Barely any bitterness. Light to medium full. Sweet rye-bready endnotes. Just a tad too sweet for my likings. [11.04.13]

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 24, 2004 (Bottled, 4.0% ABV) A nice and clear, dark ruby red color with a small, beige head. Mild, slightly roasted, sweet caramel-malty aroma. The dark chocolate and coffee flavor starts off dry and roasted, and ends sweetish and caramel-malty, with a bitter finish and a quite long, sticky and syrupy aftertaste. Medium-bodied, low-carbonated, syrupy and bitter palate. A very pleasant and easily drinkable dunkel.
