beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Feb 3, 2006 This Flemish sour pours a deep red color from a 750ml bottle. Freakishly large sized beige foamy head, good lacing. Aroma is cherries (sweet and tart) some must and some wood. Medium bodied Flemish Sour. Malts are sweet with lot of cherry tartness. Nice fruity flavors are balanced by the must, barnyard and funk. A little sweeter and a little less funky than say a Rodenbach or a Duchess or other Flemish sours, but its still a very enjoyable beer. Nice carbonation Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with some residual tartness. Pailhead (2572), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Jan 31, 2006 Bottle: Courtesy of Styles. Aroma is creamy and yeasty along with some moderate sour/tartness. Pours a bright transparent reddish-orange with a small off-white head. Initial yeastiness quickly mixes with a moderate sour cherry tartness. Sweeter than the Flemish Sours that I prefer, but decent. MikeMac (185), Wyandotte, Michigan, USA Jan 30, 2006 Poured bright ruby with a short lived white head. Light aroma of cherries, fruit. Flavor was pretty much the same not much sour flavor for my taste. ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA Jan 8, 2006 Bottled. Pours a brilliant garnet color with a lingering ivory head. The aroma consists of yeast, cinnamon, cherries, bubble gum and soil. Sharp, astringent flavor with some cherry and cinnamon notes. Oaky and musty. Somewhat thick on the tongue. Kind of a cherry/ bubble gum aftertaste. A very enjoyable beer. GonZoBeeR (2156), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Jan 1, 2006 Aroma:Alcohol,flower....

Reminds of Kriek de Ranke a little bit. Delicious. Goldorak (439), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Dec 26, 2005 Dark amber brew, with a thin layer of miniscule bubbles woven together to form the head.
A sweeter shade of horseblanket, it was caramel/candi sugar sweet and reminded me of a Faro.
Lots of caramel again in the taste, some red fruits as well, with an interesting balance of sweet and sour mnemonic of New Glarus Belgian red (which we also happened to sample out during the Montreal YEHa! party). The low carbonation brings out the sweetened malt that bursted with cherries. Very low alcohol. May be a little too cloying for some, I enjoyed it. BückDich (4793), McCall, Idaho, USA Dec 26, 2005 Pours a beautiful amber color with mahogany edges, light smoky head with decent impartial lacing. The nose is very fresh yet tart with fruit; berry, sugar and funky and tart beutiful floral characteristics. The flavor has a moderate body and a fairly normal malt aftertaste. The tartness is there along with the fresh belgian yeast and fruity hops but it’s much more realistic than the fantasy nose. The tail is good however and makes up for the lack of respect and leaves a long, but good, impression. Very tasty beverage.
