Strong cherry aroma coupled with some mustiness and wood. Taste is lots of oak and sour tartness with some underlying sweetness. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with more residual tartness. Interesting and good. GregClow (2516), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

One of my favourite styles, so I was really happy to try it. Pours a hazy reddish-orange with an off-white head. Tart, musty aroma with some vinegar and funkiness - me like! Flavour is tart and dry, with some sour cherry and wood notes. It’s no Rodenbach Grand Cru, but it’s still mighty fine. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Dark cherry, orange cream (thanks to John for that one) banana in the aroma. Tart cherries, lambic citrus bite, and light creamy malt sweetness make up the flavor. Abover-average thickness in the mouthfeel. I liked the fruitiness in this beer, added a nice livliness. Suttree (2752), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Tart cherry and winey flavor, with a sour finish. Nice musty, "basement" notes pop up, as well. Nuffield (2749), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 27, 2006 An enjoyable beer but not up to expectations. Substantial billowing head production, not esp. dense, with a dark red/brown body. The cherry nose is great, with some yeast in the cold first nose and woodiness in the later warmer sniffs. In the mouth it is lightly acidic and moderately sour but with a stickiness, too. The palate is the kicker: fluffy carbonation but a sensation of being a little thin in the body. I liked it, and it went well with food, but it isn’t a great Flemish Sour. jazz88 (2239), San Francisco, California, USA

A wood, cherry, and sour fruit aroma. Sour cherry and citrus flavors with a slick malty flavor and a hay barnyard finish. I always enjoy a good Flemish Sour Ale. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 24, 2005 The Lure: Plump cherries bursting onto bretty dryness and red wine vinegar. Citrusy pulp personifies the open air.
The Festivities: Portly, sweet cherries bump into tasteful sour green apples. Bretty tartness spikes this nearly-incongruous union, as sweet and tart don’t blend completely in this big, malty body.
Transcendence: A big and amateurish dessert is still satisfying to the sweet tooth.
