750ml bottle, Chimay glass. Pours a ruddy brown with minimal head but luscious lacing, nose is quite intense, balsamic vinegar, tart cherries, mustiness, beef jerky. Quite rich and full on the palate, not too tart, dominant currant malts with a slight peppery hop finish, meat and tobacco, long finish leading to a butterscotch sweetness. Quite a nice example of the style, nicely balanced.

Head: 1/4" amber persistent head, very light lace Color: hazy light brown Aroma: brett, leather, sour smell Flavor: balanced light sweet/sour, cannot taste fruit. Slightly bitter finish (cherry pits?) Palate: Soft carbonation and light body. Hops: No bitter, flavor or aroma prevalent Alcohol: No order or taste. No solvent. Dangerously easy drinker. Good gateway beer for novice Belgian brett.

Hazy amber colour. Fruity (mainly cherry) aroma, a little bit woody as well. Candyish character, a little grapey. Sweetish with a hint of sour. A little on the fizzy side.

750 ml bottle, sourly enjoyed with MartinT, tiggmtl and Rastacouere. Dark dirty cherry color with lightly colored head...sweet and sour cherries in the nose, lots of barnyard...in the body, sour to vinegariness, spicy, a bit cardboardy and "flat" flavorwise compared to the best in the style, but cherry-wine flavor is strong throughout, carbonation is good and authenticity is there.

Bottle. Orange-brown in colour. Aroma of balsamic vinegar, cherries, woody, sour and tart. The flavour was of sour cherries, malt and cider vinegar with some tartness. Medium body, medium carbonation. Lingering cherry finish.

Brilliant sour ale. Very sharp yet full of damp dark fruits. Yum. Dark cherry on the nose and mouth. Lasting palate pleaser. Yeasty sourfruit finish.

Dr. Bill is the man for bringing this beer out at the PP Strong Ale Fest. It pours with an amber body topped by a thick head with tons of lacing. The aroma is sweet yet sour and tart with slight horse blanket notes. The flavor is sour and tart with a slight horsebalnket and a nice underlying fuity sweetness. Medium bodied and slightly dry.

This Flemish sour pours a deep red color from a 750ml bottle. Freakishly large sized beige foamy head, good lacing. Aroma is cherries (sweet and tart) some must and some wood. Medium bodied Flemish Sour. Malts are sweet with lot of cherry tartness. Nice fruity flavors are balanced by the must, barnyard and funk. A little sweeter and a little less funky than say a Rodenbach or a Duchess or other Flemish sours, but its still a very enjoyable beer. Nice carbonation Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with some residual tartness.
