500ml bottle from hypermarket near Vyborg, 5.2% abv. A hint of basement aromas upon opening the bottle. Clear golden colour, small white head. Aroma of bread, hay, cereal and some hints of floral hops and resin, very balanced taste and mellow bitter finish, medium body. Fairly European-style basic lager, not that common in Russia as they tend to be sweeter. Nothing particularly wrong, probably useful if intending to be somewhat drunk the entire day in Summertime.

0.5 L bottle as ЗОЛОТАЯ БОЧКА Klassicheskoe. Pours a brilliant clear pale golden, topped by a finger of fully diminishing white head. Sweet-scented bread and wort to the nose. Taste is fairly clean malty. On the sweet side with bready and grainy malt flavor. Some bittering hops underneath. Light to medium full. Slick texture. Sweetish malt ending. Just about a decent euroloager.

February 15, 2011. Shared by garthicus with blankboy and me. 500ml bottle. Clear deep gold with a small quick-diminishing pancake batter off-white head. Modestly offensive aroma - sugar, weeds and light soiled diaper - not the worst, but pretty ugly. Taste isn’t thaaat bad - like cheap apple juice with liquid paper and a splash of homemade vodka. Average body, weak carbonation, harsh aftertaste. Oh why, why, why?

Medium white head. Clear deep yellow body. Mealy malty grassy aroma with fruity notes. Dry-sweet malty papery taste with grassy fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry resiny grassy taste with dandelion and flour notes. Mealy flavour lingers. Not bad, but a bit harsh and mealy. (0.5l bottle from a street kiosk in Moscow.)

Bottle [500ml] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o garthicus. Pours a clear pale gold with an average size semi-lasting weird-looking white head. Aroma of sugar, alcohol and caramel -- not good. Flavour’s watery but not as awful as expected -- it’s not really good either but it’s not awful -- It’s sweet and grainy. Light bodied. Could’ve been worse.

Thanks to my colleague Anastasia who bright this back from Russia for me. Appearance: Light orange, small off white head. Aroma: Rubber, hay, grass, wet cardboard, dust. Flavour: Tangy plastic, wet cardboard, soda like, weak body, instant bitter finish.

500 mL bottle bought in Moscow and consumed in Huntsville, AL. Pours a clear, pale yellow with a thin white head. The nose is mostly wheat and carbonation, with some notes of yeast and pine hops. The flavor is weak, but well balanced sweetness and bitterness. The body is light, and the alcohol is noticable. Overall, a mediocre beer, but not offensively bad.
