Pretty much a standard russian lager. Slight bite, fizzy head, yellow in color. Light compared to others I have had.

It seems to be Zolotaya Bochka Klassicheskoye. This brewery also brews a malt liquor (the worst of all) and a light beer ("Probably the best beer in Kaluga" :) The less alcohol the better beer. This "Classic" is very middle-of-the-road.

Bottle at the Brickskeller, DC. Middle of the road lager. On the light side, but had a faint hops flavor and something resembling taste. only a little cheap beer flavor

dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - JAN 6, 2005
Bottled. Golden colour, small head. Corny, adjuncty aroma. Grainy, watery taste, almost no hops. Slightly tart. Not as offensive as some russian lagers, due to its wateriness.

From a .5 litre brown bottle, pours a clear deep gold color with a slight head. Well-carbonated with a medium body, slightly sweet malty flavor, slight perfumy character with a late dry finish. Fair.

Can in Vladivostok. Pours golden yellow with a nice white head. Aroma is toasted pale malts, some caramel and light citrus. Flavor is mild with more toasted pale malts and light citrus hops. And another stellar pale lager down, 4,999,999,987 to go...

GTAEgeek (809) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - AUG 29, 2010
500 mL bottle bought in Moscow and consumed in Huntsville, AL. Pours a clear, pale yellow with a thin white head. The nose is mostly wheat and carbonation, with some notes of yeast and pine hops. The flavor is weak, but well balanced sweetness and bitterness. The body is light, and the alcohol is noticable. Overall, a mediocre beer, but not offensively bad.

Aroma is faint, with a bit of mild hops. It’s appearance is a golden color. It’s flavor is a nice balance between malts and mild hops. It’s very smooth. A nice session.

xxx not a big fan, but it was foreign so i figured I’d get it. Russian beers should prob stick to imperial stouts.

Light yellow color, very foamy. Below average session beer. Nothing special about it
