0.5L bottle, medium lasting beige head with some lacing, clear, deep but not dark brown colour, strong caramel aroma with some dried fruits, flavour of caramel and dried fruits with notes of cheap brandy, alcohol strong and overwhelming adding an unwelcome bitterness. Medium beige head. Brown body. Faint red berries aroma. Dry-sweetish toffee sugar and alcohol taste with roasty wild berry notes. Sharpish dusty mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry papery grassy aftertaste with very harsh bitterness and fruity notes. Not really very nice. (0.5l can, grocery store, St. Petersburg.)

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2008 Bottle from La Mesa Market. Amber/brownish in color. Sweet aroma with some maltiness and maybe a hint of chocolate. Good full bodied malty flavors. Some sweetness and spices as well. Finish is sweet and malty with a little bit of hoppiness. Pretty enjoyable.

Bottle - 500ml. Amber body with diminishing white foamy head. Fair malty aroma with hoppy and brown sugar notes. Taste carries some sweet and alcohol hints. It ends with a short bittersweet finish. Boring.

500ml bottle - thanks SaintMatty
Deep copper orange, healthy tight head. Baked bread aroma, a bit fruity - raisins. Slight hint of alcohol (drunk at room temperature, so that’s less surprising). Fairly soft palate. Grainy and buttery, a little bit woody. Sweet spiciness too, almost peppery. Long woody finish. Quite sophisticated beer, covers the alcohol pretty well. Worth hunting out, very good nutty lager.
