2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Medium beige head. Brown body. Faint red berries aroma. Dry-sweetish toffee sugar and alcohol taste with roasty wild berry notes. Sharpish dusty mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry papery grassy aftertaste with very harsh bitterness and fruity notes. Not really very nice. (0.5l can, grocery store, St. Petersburg.)

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2008 Bottle from La Mesa Market. Amber/brownish in color. Sweet aroma with some maltiness and maybe a hint of chocolate. Good full bodied malty flavors. Some sweetness and spices as well. Finish is sweet and malty with a little bit of hoppiness. Pretty enjoyable.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle - 500ml. Amber body with diminishing white foamy head. Fair malty aroma with hoppy and brown sugar notes. Taste carries some sweet and alcohol hints. It ends with a short bittersweet finish. Boring.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle - thanks SaintMatty
Deep copper orange, healthy tight head. Baked bread aroma, a bit fruity - raisins. Slight hint of alcohol (drunk at room temperature, so that’s less surprising). Fairly soft palate. Grainy and buttery, a little bit woody. Sweet spiciness too, almost peppery. Long woody finish. Quite sophisticated beer, covers the alcohol pretty well. Worth hunting out, very good nutty lager.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Good looking 500ml bottle. Clear, golden-brown body under a rocky, off-white head, slowly reduced to a thin layer. Plain, but vague malty aroma. Grainy flavour balanced with notes of caramel sweetness. Rounded, dry bitter ending with a little alcoholic tint. Medium carbonated and moderate to full palate (thanks to Per Einar for this air-borne bottle from Arkhangelsk, 22.05.2008)
