500ml bottle - thanks SaintMatty
Deep copper orange, healthy tight head. Baked bread aroma, a bit fruity - raisins. Slight hint of alcohol (drunk at room temperature, so that’s less surprising). Fairly soft palate. Grainy and buttery, a little bit woody. Sweet spiciness too, almost peppery. Long woody finish. Quite sophisticated beer, covers the alcohol pretty well. Worth hunting out, very good nutty lager.

Good looking 500ml bottle. Clear, golden-brown body under a rocky, off-white head, slowly reduced to a thin layer. Plain, but vague malty aroma. Grainy flavour balanced with notes of caramel sweetness. Rounded, dry bitter ending with a little alcoholic tint. Medium carbonated and moderate to full palate (thanks to Per Einar for this air-borne bottle from Arkhangelsk, 22.05.2008)

500ml Bottle - Copper coloured with a large white head. Fresh, yeasty and malty aroma with a hint of tea. Malty and moderately bitter taste with tea also being detected along with a yeasty element. The bitterness does not last too long but a fairly pleasant finish lingers. Not bad at all and quite a nice surprise.

Delirium (636) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 10, 2007
Bottle (as Bochka Aged). Pours clear amber/copper with a moderate white head. Bready, silghtly sweet malty aroma, with a little grass. Flavor is slightly sweet bready malt, only a little sticky, with a modicum of hops and a bit of astringency and bitterness in the finish. A bit too carbonated and maybe too astringent, but a nice fairly full body and pretty decent on the whole.

Oh, now I see it was a Vienna - thougt it was some odd, herb-flavoured lagerwith very strong bitterness that had been lying in the barrel for a long time. Kinda heavy but good, I enjoyed it.

Bottle: Fiery amber, very clear, moderate to large off-white head, a few rings of lacing, no noticeable carbonation.   Semi-sweet malt aroma, slight caramel like, a touch of hay and grass as well.   Cookie dough and bready on the tongue, fairly clean, but lingering straw.   Decent body, moderate mouthfeel.   Finish is a bit sticky, but otherwise clean.   Better than I had expected.

Rich, ale-y, oatmeal cookie aroma - molasses, vanilla, grainy. Orangish, medium oak color, huge head. LIghtly astringent, moderately bitter, parched graininess, medium-light sweetness, dark syrup flavors. Medium body, finishes exceptionally bitter and alcoholic. A notch above most of the Eastern European brews.

Half-time Liquors, Tallahassee, Fl, - 500 ml. bottle. Nice, dark orange to light brown pour with a thin, but sticky white head. Aroma is sweet and caramel-like with some molasses notes and a hint of chocolate. Full bodied flavor is rib sticking with hints of caramel, molasses and a back end of alcohol. The alcohol blends in well though and does not distract. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy and this one stays strong throughout. One of the better Russian beers I have experienced.

Bottled. Enjoyed from a used tea cup in Novosibirsk, Russia. Clear, deep amber color, with small off-white head with short retension. Malty sweet aroma, with a hint of alcohol. Flavor is fruity (apple, banana?), caramelly sweet malts, with a hoppy alcoholic tang in the fairly long finish. Not terribly exciting, but enjoyable enough, and the alcohol makes the flavour appreciatively rich. The carbonation is certainly a bit heavy though, but the same goes for most russian beers in my opinion.

Amber hue with a soft creamy head, good lacing and a mild dryish malty aroma. Light to medium bodied, caramel malty flavor, some molasses, almost cloying with some alcohol and bitterness in the finish. Not the freshest in the world but still drinkable-probably pretty good when fresh.
