Zolotaya Bochka Seasoned is a beer which brewing requires almost twice the amount of time as usual, due to long seasoning in specific conditions, in which it gains full-bodied flavour and a natural high strength. 14.9°

From bottle. Amber colour with creamy head. Caramelly malty, sweet nose with hints of toffee. Short flavour with sweet industrial lager style. Light to medium body with no bitterness.

Bottled. Deep bronze with a good rocky cream coloured head. Though it was going to be a dunkle style but more of a spicy Vienna or märzen. Lemony citric aromas along with malt and a suggestion of coconut that follows through into the mouth with a spicy maltiness. Sweet chewy malty and alcoholic finish.

Die Schaumkrone hält mittelmäßig. Es schmeckt leicht alkoholisch, mild, etwas süßlich. Einfaches, flaches und mildes, typisches stärkeres aus Russland. Test vom 15.8.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,7,7,8,10,8 - 8,00

Bottle - 500ml. Amber body with diminishing white foamy head. Fair malty aroma with hoppy and brown sugar notes. Taste carries some sweet and alcohol hints. It ends with a short bittersweet finish. Boring.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2008 Bottle from La Mesa Market. Amber/brownish in color. Sweet aroma with some maltiness and maybe a hint of chocolate. Good full bodied malty flavors. Some sweetness and spices as well. Finish is sweet and malty with a little bit of hoppiness. Pretty enjoyable.

Slightly acidic grain flavor with a hint of fuel and an underlying malt liqour sweetness. Smells like grainy malt liqour. Tangy and stupid. I hate russians and I wish i wasn’t one...its like an american standard with alcohol graininess thrown in..Not my cup of crap, fo sho.

Amber-copper clear body. Thin white layer, dismissed. Faint caramel malts to the nose. Tastes mild caramel malts, then comes the chemical spices. Aging this beer helped just as little as an aging president in that country. Boozement. Bottled. Deep full amber colour with beige soft fine head. Sweet malt and grain aromas with bread like qualities (another one of those delectable beers that makes you hungry). The taste was just as more’ish. What I liked most was it wasn’t overly sweet like some Belgian’s but balanced more in keeping with Vienna or Bohemian style. Many thanks to SilkTork et al for his help in identifying this one.
