The aroma is very malty, with everpresent graininess, a bit bready and sweetish. Taste is also one-dimensionally grainy-malty with some breadiness, the bitterness being virtually absent. The sweet side is quite well balanced by the bready elements, but I miss the hops. For a decidedly malt-oriented lager this is actually quite good, however.

0.5 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Pale golden color. Aromas of honey and earthy herbal notes. Honeyish and herbal flavor with some papery notes. Does not taste fresh (BB oct 2013).

Bottle 50cl, a clear yellow beer with low head and carbonation. Nose is vegetable like. Aroma is grainy, sweet, bitter and grassy hops, body is medium to low, finish has grainy notes too, light caramel notes, very classic but properly done, light grassy round hops at the finish.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Thin, uninspiring and totally filtered therefore you won´t find any real aroma. Drinkable though but in the end nothing else like a pissy lager.

Bottle. Light golden colour with low head and medium body. Taste of mild hops, mild fruits and low malt. Quite sweet finish. Nothing really good, just too average and boring.

Das Zötlier Bier Gold ist ein waschechtes Export. Hellgelb mit wässrigem Schaum. Das Aroma ist malzdominant mit blumigen Einschlag. Im Antrunk dann sehr weich und geschmacklich vom Malz geprägt. Der Hopfen ist nur ansatzweise vorhanden und spielt klar die 2. Geige. Insgesamt recht süffig und wohlbekömmlich!

Bottle. Golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish aroma, light grassy hoppyness. Light to medium, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, light grassy hoppyness. Finish is average, malty - grainy and lightly sweetish, light grassy hoppyness and light mineral notes. Lightly sweetish and grainy helles - OK, but nothing special.
