COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, thin but firm and stable off-white head; sweetish-caramelly, nutty nose with a faint tinge of toasted malt; moderate sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; caramelly, nutty finish, slightly sweetish with some delicate (roast) bitterness in the aftertaste. A very decent and well drinkable Dunkel !

(bottle) Clear, copper colour with a nice beige foamy head. Sweet toast-malty aroma, nutty with honey and notes and toffee; ashy and slightly alcoholic when it gets warmer. Bitter-sweet flavour; medium to light body, soft carbonation. Initially toast-malty,and nutty with herbal hoppy notes; also a bit sour-fruity on the palate with a touch of dried fruits; moderately dry, bitter and slightly fruity finish.

Clear red-chestnut beer with brownish, small fluffy head. Very bready, leafy nose, bit nutty; quite sweet, nearly red port-like. !!Smoked, dry tobacco/ash flavour, not sweet at all, leathery perfumed. Starts medium bodied, but with a rather empty finish. Nice! very special difference between nose and flavour, but nowhere off-putting. Txs, Stef.

Translucent and deep amber bronze in color with a creamy, whipped tan and booming frothy head. Pecan casings and copper kettles begin the aromatic tune, along with semi-sweet chocolate powder, rich toffee, and caramel & brown sugar dancing with milk chocolate fudge swirls. Chocolate roll flavor comes out from the get-go. This is a cocoa grain sack run amuck in a Bavarian bakery. Copper empowerment, along with chocolate toffee chews, brown-sugared oats and chocolate rye buns. Gentle, medium-bodied and quite an easy and exit strategy with the palate. The creamy head retention makes the mouth feel more blessed. Unsalted soft pretzels dabbed in mild milk chocolate powder comes through in the finish. Lovely.

Tap, Germany, April 2006.
Translucent and medium reddish-brown in color with a well retained tan head and vellum lacing. Chocolate brownies, cherry cordials, dark chocolate toffees and brown sugared dates provide an alluring aroma. Tasty milk chocolate and brandy sauce poured over dark fruited figs start the flavor. Chocolate pound cake and buttery toffee nodes with discreet amaretto and hazelnut accents provide more dimension and complexity. Medium-bodied with substantial palate locomotion, helping to perfectly aid the adequate carbonation. Liquid brown sugar, golden raisins and chocolate cake mix give us a heartfelt and endearing finish. Classic, milky, chocolatey splendor.

Bottle. Dark brown , clear and visibly quite carbonated, with a slim off-white head. Nice toasted malty aroma, with some caramel. Flavour is malty, nice light bitterness and some sweetness in the finish. Medium bodied and drinkable. Not overly complex but nice.
