COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. [Courtesy of Hildigöltur, Thanks Jacob] Small beige fizzy head that mostly diminished. Clear flat light mahogany color. Aroma of bread, grain, fruit, floral and toasted malt. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet malty flavor. Bread like sweet lingering finish. What a nice and drinkable beer. 27-07-07

The aroma is malty with caramel, toffee, cereal, and light hops. The appearance is medium brown with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall i like it.

Strykzone (3866) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - DEC 20, 2008
Pours a dark brown red hue with a small light tan head that lasts only a minute. Aroma is faint but offers some chocolate and roasted malt. A bit of coffee in the flavor along with some unmalted barley and a hint of anise. It is dry and just a bit earthy but flavor, like the aroma, is faint. The excite-o-meter barely twitches with this one.

Bottle looks simple, but good, beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts malty and dry, a bit rusty, some fruity notes of raisins, also some very nice smoky notes. Finish mild, well balanced, still malty and dry. Good dunkel!

rickgordon (3816) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 26, 2011
Bottled. Clear brown colour with low white foam. Aroma from chocolate, sweet milk and caramel. Body is light, with light chocolate, sweet milk, suggestions of green pepper along with tad sewer. Pretty un-sweet for the style yet reminiscent of a milk stout with its blend of sweet and toast. Unexciting beer but pretty solid.

Bottle. Brown with no head. Nose is very malty. Flavor is equally malty. Didn’t get much of the chocolate others mention. Just lots of malt. Easy drinking, but not my style.

Pours a dark copper with some ruby highlights. The head is one finger thick and offwhite. The nose is earthy, lagery, malty, bready for sure, sweet, caramel, a tad nutty. The flavor is malty, kind of sweet, caramel, nutty. Tastes like an English Brown lagered.
