UPDATED: MAY 15, 2006 Bottle, May 2006. Translucent and deep amber bronze in color with a creamy, whipped tan and booming frothy head. Pecan casings and copper kettles begin the aromatic tune, along with semi-sweet chocolate powder, rich toffee, and caramel & brown sugar dancing with milk chocolate fudge swirls. Chocolate roll flavor comes out from the get-go. This is a cocoa grain sack run amuck in a Bavarian bakery. Copper empowerment, along with chocolate toffee chews, brown-sugared oats and chocolate rye buns. Gentle, medium-bodied and quite an easy and exit strategy with the palate. The creamy head retention makes the mouth feel more blessed. Unsalted soft pretzels dabbed in mild milk chocolate powder comes through in the finish. Lovely.
Tap, Germany, April 2006. Translucent and medium reddish-brown in color with a well retained tan head and vellum lacing. Chocolate brownies, cherry cordials, dark chocolate toffees and brown sugared dates provide an alluring aroma. Tasty milk chocolate and brandy sauce poured over dark fruited figs start the flavor. Chocolate pound cake and buttery toffee nodes with discreet amaretto and hazelnut accents provide more dimension and complexity. Medium-bodied with substantial palate locomotion, helping to perfectly aid the adequate carbonation. Liquid brown sugar, golden raisins and chocolate cake mix give us a heartfelt and endearing finish. Classic, milky, chocolatey splendor.

Decent brew. Served with a nice head and good lace. Has a nice dark malty and dark fruity nose. Flavor is similar, Soft palate. Smooth at first going to a light tingle. Finsih is dark malt and a little sweetness. Color is a dark amber brown. Session beer for sure. Would like to try this on draft as well as make beer bread with it.
