COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

11.2oz bottle in a shaker. Pours slightly darker than cola with a thin beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and peanuts. Flavor strong of nuts, roasted malts, butterscotch notes, and a little hops at the end. Full bodied and average texture. A pretty good beer.

Bottle:   Deep ruby, brownish hues, moderate to thin off-white head, spotty lacing.   Biscuity nose, and oddly enough a slight hint of corn tortilla.   Malty tongue, slightly bready, even a little sweet.   Not half bad.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Lingering soft bready malts after the finish.   Better than I was expecting.

Passable dunkel, overwhelmed by mollasses flavour. It poiurs very dark, with some decent head. Medium mouthfeel, on the sweetish side. Drinkable, but only if I am in the mood, not tonight.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Hildigöltur. Pours a clear, orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Lightly sweetish aroma of burned caramel. Medium body with sweetish, burned caramel notes and a dry finish. Very classical for the style and very nice. 270707

The color is mahogany with a red hue and it has a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel and light chocolate. The flavor is moderately sweet with notes of caramel, nuts, chocolate and roasted malt.

Bottle from big lots. Poured an auburn/brown color. Not much head. Aroma was quite nice; caramel, cocoa, nuts, bread, earth and sweet malt. Flavor was solid, but not quite as layered. Soft and smooth on the palate. Sweet, caramel and nuts with a short finish. Ok overall.

Looks like a normal dunkel but very small head. No lacing. Smell of caramel, nuts, and basement. Taste is high in malt with a low hop finish. Low in carbonation. Palate is mild in cream and some zestiness. One of the better dunkels i’ve had.
