COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So schmeckt das Allgäu! Noch in den 20er-Jahren war dunkles Bier im Allgäu das meist getrunkene Bier der Region. Brilliante dunkle Kaffee-Farbe mit einem cremigen, feinporigen Schaum. Vollmundig, mit einem intensiven Malzaroma. Korbinian Dunkel ist eines der bekömmlichsten und magenfreundlichsten Biere. Grund: die milde Röstung des Braumalzes und die außergewöhnlich lange Kaltlagerung bei nur 0 °C. Nach alt-überlieferten (und gut gehüteten!) Rezepturen wird dieses Bier in unserer Familienbrauerei seit nun über 500 Jahren gebraut – und jedes Jahr wächst die Fan-Gemeinde.

(bottle) Clear, copper colour with a nice beige foamy head. Sweet toast-malty aroma, nutty with honey and notes and toffee; ashy and slightly alcoholic when it gets warmer. Bitter-sweet flavour; medium to light body, soft carbonation. Initially toast-malty,and nutty with herbal hoppy notes; also a bit sour-fruity on the palate with a touch of dried fruits; moderately dry, bitter and slightly fruity finish.

Bottled. Copper brown coloured. Malty aroma of bread and caramel. Malt, dark bread and caramel in the flavour. Medium bodied.

Pours a dark copper with some ruby highlights. The head is one finger thick and offwhite. The nose is earthy, lagery, malty, bready for sure, sweet, caramel, a tad nutty. The flavor is malty, kind of sweet, caramel, nutty. Tastes like an English Brown lagered.

Amber/brown coloured and hazy. Has an off-white head, mostly lasting. Aroma si lightly spicy, light caramel. Good flavor, sweet, notes of nuts, cerials, bread. Creamy, dry texture. Lively carbonation.

Brotiger Geruch. Röstmalziger Antrunk, leider etwas wässrig. Auch im Mittelteil wirkt das Bier etwas wässrig, schade, denn das süße Röstmalzarome würde sonst noch stärker hervorkommen und mehr gefallen. Weniger wässrig ist das Bier glücklicherweise im Nachgeschmack, in dem das Röstmalzaroma sich Kaffee nähert. Der süße Teil wird hier nach und nach schwächer, bis die Kaffeenote allein übrig ist.
