This is dark with a little head of tan color. This is supposed to taste like pralines, but I did not get that, but I did get some toffee and chocolate.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ElDesmadre (934) - Mikołów, POLAND - JUN 21, 2011
Bottle. Moderate brown with quickly disappearing head. Aroma is quite mild - moderately roasted malt, caramel, some milk chocolate and faint piney hops. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate and caramel, some aroma hops but almost no bitterness. Very mild beer overall and a bit boring, yet solid.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DarkElf (2961) - La Jolla, California, USA - JAN 15, 2011
08-Mar-10 (330-ml bottle: Purchased 09-Feb-10 for $3.99 at Ledger’s Liquor in Berkeley, CA) This pleasant German dunkel pours a rich, clear, medium-brown body and a one inch foam cap that is dark-tan in color and shows good retention, slowly settling to a thin, but complete layer. The nose is very malty with dark bread, light earthiness, milk chocolate and some nuttiness. Fairly bready on the palate, with chocolate, lightly sweet cocoa, toast and nuts, and a hint of grassy hops in the finish. The beer is showing signs of some mild oxidation, enough to be distracting, but not enough to render the beer undrinkable. The oxidation, however, is not the beer’s fault. Light-medium in body, gentle carbonation, and some dryness in the finish. Some spotty lace on the glass. A decent beer, easy to drink and fairly straight forward.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rickgordon (3815) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 26, 2011
Bottled. Clear brown colour with low white foam. Aroma from chocolate, sweet milk and caramel. Body is light, with light chocolate, sweet milk, suggestions of green pepper along with tad sewer. Pretty un-sweet for the style yet reminiscent of a milk stout with its blend of sweet and toast. Unexciting beer but pretty solid.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Strykzone (3814) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - DEC 20, 2008
Pours a dark brown red hue with a small light tan head that lasts only a minute. Aroma is faint but offers some chocolate and roasted malt. A bit of coffee in the flavor along with some unmalted barley and a hint of anise. It is dry and just a bit earthy but flavor, like the aroma, is faint. The excite-o-meter barely twitches with this one.
