A little hazy, dark orange colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma of fruits, like orange and citrus with nutes and spices. There are hops in the back. The taste is a little sweet moving over to bitter with fruits. There are spices like nutmeg. Some alcohol. The aftertaste is sweet bitter with spices.

Bottle at the Relentless Thirst Gathering in Richmond, VA, 8.29.09. Brought back from Belgium by brewno. Pours a hazy peach color with floaties. Biscuity, bready aroma with caramel, spice and dry fruity notes. Taste is caramel, bread, sweet malts, light spice. Medium bodied.

Bottle. Highly foaming beer, dark golden colour, hazy in the glass. White head, resting for a half cm in the glass. Aroma is sweet, with something peachiness, and with candy. Full taste, again some sweetiness, also some spices (coriander). Furthermore oranges. Itís fizzling in the mouth, slightly bitter in the finish. Nice one.

Bottle at De Hopduvel . Pours dark amber with a fluffy white head. Aromas of caramel and darker pitted fruits. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is caramel with cooked fruit and mildly spicey hop. Finishes slightly bitter. A richer version of the amber/Special.

Bottle from Belgium Beers, Antwerp. Big, mostly diminishing white head. Near-clear, orangey-amber, well carbonated body. Fresh Belgo-yeasty nose. Light malty with some dusty and hayish hops. Notes of metal. Taste is fairly dry, yeasty, crisp malty and light cittus-fruity. Fizzy mouthfeel. Healthy body, and surprisingly easy drinkable for a 8.4 percenter. A potent thirst-quencher.

Bottled: Aroma with notes of alcohol. some malts. Flavor is sweet, candy, some acid, sugar. Light alcoholic, astringent, few hoppy finish. Classic belgian stron-ale, harmonic but a bit boring.

Bottle at De Zotte. Golden amber colour, white head. Aroma of spice, yeast, sweet fruits. Flavour is yeasty, fruity and a bit spicy with a some sourness. Slightly bitter finish. Very tripel-like.

though rather short lasting white head. Aroma of lagered sweetish fruits and alcohol with some yeast. Good filling mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet and fruity with yeast and a pleasant bitterness. Dry fruity finish.

nice strong aroma, spicy and complex.
flavor is spicy and flowery - honey sweet, nice belgian, although it is a bit alc. heavy.
