Bottle. Decent lager that accompanied my burrito very well. A lot better than any UK macro lager.

Bitter beer, no strong aroma. White head disappearing after 30 seconds. Dark-gold/ligt-brown colour. Not so good Polish lager, but better than most commercial lagers from this country.

Bottle from Lifestyle Express, Upper Parliament Street, Nottingham. Clear amber with virtually no head. Aroma of metallic hops and slight citrus. Mouthfeel is biting, rough and fizzy. Nothing of note in the flavour at all - cardboard, one-dimensional lager taste that is crisp but bland and with a very short finish. It’s neither unpleasant nor interesting which would be forgiveable if it was a light, barbeque-friendly beer. But the ABV is 5.8% so this doesn’t serve any purpose.

500ml bottle. Full bodied yellow, medium white head, poor retention, good carbonation. Nose: grainy, with some herbal hops, bread, a little swampy. Taste: light, sour crispiness, grainy, a shy late bitterness, awful when warming up.

Golden blonde. Light graininess in aroma and flavor. Clean tasting. Refreshing, with some encroaching tongues of malt. Slightly and watered finish.

April 19 2012. 500ml Bottle pours clear amber yellow into pint glass with 1-2" white soapy head that quickly dissipates to ring. Minimal almost absent lacing. Aroma is of sweet grass and malt slight hops. Initially sweet malt in flavour but quickly chased away with hops to leave a balanced almost totally canceling flavour effect. Soft fluffy palate. Bottle is entertaining read. Typical polish lager -- that means very good.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2012 500ml bottle. Orange-hued gold brew produces good but short lived head. (Lovibond 4). Good lace. Aroma is woody and grassy but fades with the head. Initial swig is amazingly tasty and pleasant. Good carbonation. Sweetness mellows to a more balanced taste halfway through.

In May 2011 I wrote this: This half litre brown bottle claims 6.00% ABV, obtained in London while visiting my son. Poured into a ’paderborner Goldpilsner’ vase and a smaller Budweiser Budvar tasting glass. Looked as good as any lager/pilsner when poured: good golden hue, large white head, clear and clean body. Sweeter than most Eastern Block pilsners, in both smell and taste, almost pleasant! Certainly better than a few I’ve tasted over the years. I expected bog stanard Euro Fizz, but this a whole lot better than that, in all aspects.
