An orange beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet malty with some hints of hops, while the flavor is plainly sweet malty - hard to pick up the hops.
Earlier Rating: 11/1/2004 Total Score: 2.5
A golden beer with a fine white head. The aroma is simply sweet malty. The flavor is sweet malty, but with hints of sourness from brewing cereal as well as caramel. The stronger alcohol content than an average pilsener is recognizable without being too much. The brewing cereal draws it slightly down from the average pilsener.

Tasted in Toronto. Obtained from LCBO. Tasted in dimpled mug. Appearance is medium yellow, possibly golden. Thin white head lasts for only seconds, before subsiding into a performance of nothingness. Grainy / grassy aroma with hints of sugary sweetness. Flavour is malty, but thin and ends with a definitive sickly bitterness.

Canned, which to be fair doesn’t give the beer much of a chance but either way you look at it, this beer was not going to be top of the pops.

Grainy, bready, toasty, cereal malt aroma with some lightly grassy, spicy hops. Corn-like DMS becomes more apparent as it warms. Clear deep golden body is topped by a low but lasting, fizzy white head that eventually recedes to ring. Cereal malt flavour is sweet and herbal with very light bitterness. As with the aroma, DMS is more apparent towards the end of the drink. Light body with somewhat watery texture and strong carbonation. Tumbler. Fridge temperature. Bottle (BB 160706, LCBO, Oct-05).

Nice golden body topped with a thick but diminishing off-white frothy head. Average malty/hoppy aroma with some bready notes. Fresh hoppy taste with herbal and biscuity hints. Ends with a decent bitter finish. This is a pretty fair polish lager.

Frothy mostly lasting white head, wellow colour, thin aroma, very malty bredlike taste, average finish, soft carbonated, an ok premium lager.

Bottle (500ml). Poured a slightly hazy gold, nice bubbling action, a large white foamy sticky-looking head that subsided like detergent. Aroma the usual euro pale lager - sour grainy, light stale hops, chemical-sweet malt, some anonymous fruit concentrate and dried flowers - a touch skunky on warming. I can’t decide if it tastes more metallic or fake-sugary sweet - elements of both with some sour vegetal notes, but it finishes on the harshly sweet side. Watery mouthfeel. Fairly easy to drink - I’d put it in the top third of the commercial StdIntlLagers I’ve tried - not as obnoxious as most.
