Bottled from biernavigatie.nl. Red to red brown colored, beige head, beautiful lacing. Nice complex nose, combination of spices, hops, caramel malts, some molasses, reminiscent of La Trappe’s Quadrupel. Flavor is a combination of hopbitterness balanced by caramel malty notes that bring some sweetness, respectively. The spices are also still there, carbonation clearly present, perhaps a bit overly. As others mentioned, it tastes young but not unfinished. And also as mentioned by others, not truly a tripel, but more a combination of a tripel and quadrupel, although the abv is remarkably low. Good brew, those guys certainly know what they are doing.

Looks nice, but that’s about it. The newest of the certified trappist breweries, but they have a long ways to go to catch up to their peers in terms of quality. Thin taste, flat aroma.

We had a ’biergarten’ last monday. Many of us tried this beer, but didn’t find that special. It’s a new beer, taste is okay but not really persuasive. And the prices here in the shops in Belgium are really overrated.

Finally I had this beer @ Westmalle Café. Pour into its own Trappist glass, beautiful dark red color. It doesn't smells strong flavor or alcohol, but you will feel it later.

Pours a dark amber hazy body with a medium head. A little funky aroma of yeast. Very nice but a little unpolished malty taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer & Beyond, Tel Aviv. Hazy dark golden with low off-white head. Heavy banana aroma, yeasty, fruity, bready,. Flavor is as the nose, very sweet, sugary, pear, malty, bready, honey, light bitterness. Dry, sticky. Lively carbonation. Full body.
