Bue en bouteille de 33cl. Découverte de cette trappiste pour l'instant inconnue au bataillon. Équilibre malt/houblon bien fait, alcool peu present. Classique pour le genre.

Bottle, 8%. Fruity and yeasty aroma with a good brown sugar note. Clear dark amber colour. Good stable off-white head. The flavour is caramelly, yeasty and sweetish. Also some brown sugar in the flavour. The alcohol is well-hidden. Good mouthfeel and carbonation, reminding me of Chimay.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with floral and hoppy notes. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt and fruit, complemented by bitter, hoppy notes and some estery and floral touches. Bitter, slughtly citric and estery aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. Well-balanced. Decent.

Lore (1230) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 20, 2014
reddish-amber colour, huge, though not too dense yellowish head; aroma of banana, floral-honey notes, caramel, hints of earth and dried fruits; taste of malty sweetness with some banana, honey, roasted notes and spiciness; 8% alcohol is fully hidden; professional beer without however too much ’fantasy’

Deep amber colour with a decent white head. Subtle aroma of spices and banana. Bitter and peppery finish follows a slightly tart initial taste. Light body. A fair few I’d pick ahead of this.

0,33 l bottle. Clear, reddish-amber with a creamy, stable, tan head. Fruity aroma of prunes, raisins, molasses and candy sugar. Pleasant, but not that intense though. Sweetish taste primarily of candy sugar and molasses with hints of prunes and raisins. Good if you like sweet beers. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Slightly bitter and slightly alcoholic finish. Overall a nice beer that is perhaps not among the best trappists but still highly quaffable and delicious.
