A surprising Trappist from Zundert. Very nice nose and beautiful amber color. The taste itself doesn’t fully deliver, making it a noteworthy new Trappist that’s worth a try.

Cloudy amber body with creamy beige head that ends up as a fully lasting layer. Sweet and quite strong aroma of Belgian yeast, dark dried fruits and candi sugar. Quite strong and slightly complex flavour of Belgian yeast, spices and alcohol, with fainter floral notes and further in the back there are dark dried fruits. Moderate sweet and moderate bitter taste. Mid-bodied, smooth on the palate, moderate carbonation. Maybe not my favourite trappist (and how this one can be classified as a tripel beats me), but definitely a tasty brew!
[33 cl bottle shared with josteirk at Steenbo the Summer House, from Fakta Strandby, enjoyed 14 months before BB]

Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber body with a large cloudy off-white head. Nose is caramel, raisins, straw, nuts and hints of candy sugar, toffee and herbs. Taste is floral candi sugar notes, caramel, bitter herbs and hints of burnt sugar and toffee. Medium body, high carbonation. Nice enough, but a bit "clean" and industrial-styled compared to the rest of the Trappist family.

Flaske. Ravfarvet orange klar øl med et fint lille skumhoved. Duften er let gæret med en smule humle. God bitterhed til at bakke sødmen op med. Rigtig fin trippel.
