A surprising Trappist from Zundert. Very nice nose and beautiful amber color. The taste itself doesn’t fully deliver, making it a noteworthy new Trappist that’s worth a try.

This is really great abbey trippel. Aroma is explosively spicy. Notes of grape and citrus. Well balanced malty taste with bitter aftertaste

330ml bottle. Fruit, berries, sugar, spices. Quite ok. Not the complexity that these usually have.

Denne Zurdert har et mørkt gyldent udseende med et medium hvidt skum. Øllen har en citrus og karamel aroma og smager frisk og af mørk malt. Afrundes af en lille bitterhed. Medium karbonering.

Strong aroma of hops, caramel, herbs, fruits, slight citrus. Brown, semi-clear, fine white foam. Medium-heavy sweet, light-medium bitterness. Full body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. Great trappist beer!

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Deep golden-brown body under a slowly fading frothy, beige head. Rings of lace down the glass. Good looking, indeed. Attractive aromas of dark caramel, cheese, and dark fruits. Well flavoured with prunes, raisin, dates, and honeyed caramel sweetness. Subdued yeast esters. Fine bodied. Soft and rounded in the mouth. Not overly sweet. Excellent sipper (Tromsø 07.11.2015).

Bottle from Erzbierschof Zurich. Ah yes, good old tripels. Sweet and boozy, lots of yeasty banana aroma, and a matching smooth carbonization. Good!

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø Langnes. Drukket i Skibotn 2 Okt 15. Mørk gyldenbrun. Lavt skum som raskt blir til film. Behagelig krydderaroma. “Luftig” tungefølelse. Litt mye kullsyre. Smaken søtt krydder. Blir raskt syrlig & bitter. Tørr ettersmak. Litt bunnfall. Svakt uklar siste kvelling.

330ml bottle from Beer Cartel (exp 18/9/16). Copper-brown with a satisfying off white head and moderate lace. Malty caramel, red berries, and subtle spices (peppers, marzipan) on the nose. Palate is fruity and malty with medium body but it is definitely less refined and complex than the better (older) Trappist ales out there. It finishes lightly spicy with an alcoholic burn.
