COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zure Van Tildonk is an original Belgian Sour Ale from Farm-Brewery Hof Ten Dormaal. With this beer, the brewery strived to create a special, spontaneoussly-fermented beer via traditional methods using ambient yeast from the brewery-farm in Tildonk. Each batch of Zure van Tildonk is carefully aged in the cellars of Engelburch Monastery for several months prior to release.

330ml bottle from Mikkeller webshop. Yellow golden colour with a foamy white head leaving lacing. Grainy aroma with citrus and funk. Sour tart citric taste with lactic notes, grain, woody and yeasty funk. Sharp mouthfeel, light bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry tangy sour finish. Refreshing, quite drinkable.

Not sure where to put this rating. My bottle had 2014 in big letters but it was a 375ml bottle .. Hazy gold tan .. Legit foam, good lacing .. . Wet wood, weird yeast, and barnyard .. Plucky mouth feel and a interesting finish .. . Pansy is a good word, wish it was used more frequently

Hazy golden color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of yeast, oak, & ripe fruit; Flavor of slight sweet malt yeast, sour fruit (notably apples), some hops, and spice; Finish is fairly sour/tart; Nicely balanced; Pretty decent.

Lijkt vrijwel water in de fles! Fris zurig aroma, en ontzettend sprankelend. Cava achtige schuimkraag. Prachtig heldere kleur, net pils! Vrij dun en ¨compact¨ van smaak met een aangename zurigheid. Zoet (suikerig) zurigheid overheerst, citroen/appel/honing achtig. Aangename droogheid in de afdronk. Vrij lekker (dorstlessend) en smaakt naar meer!

Bottle from Beergium. Light yellow with a small white ring of foam. Aroma is slightly tart with green apples, and slight vinegar. Taste is tart with green apples, light bitterness and slight herbal notes. Thin body, mineral water like carbonation, dry. Short and warming after taste.

Hazy yellow beer, which looks nice. Aroma of sour apples and grains. Taste is wheaty, caramel with gueze-like sourness. It’s a bit like a bretted saison with a large body and sweeter. I actually liked it quite well.

375 ml into a tumbler. Pours a clear golden amber with rising carb and a finger of white foam. Very gueuze looking. Nose is sour apples, wet grain, and a slightly skunked/musky off putting note. Taste is better. Pretty unique mix of sour apples, caramel malts, and a slightly rotting funk thing. Not bad per se, just different. Haven’t had a sour similar to this one. Like a tame malty gueuze.
