pivnizub (3900), Porúří, Germany Mar 24, 2008 Bottle (getauscht mit Stefan !): Copper coloured, smaller, stable fluffy head; moderate, quite dry roast-malty aroma; moderate, as well, dryish bitter sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; not sweet, malty-bitter finish with a touch of roasted and/or smoked malt in the very end. More a Schwarzbier in the DDR-tradition than a typical smoked beer...........
Papsoe (10498), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 8, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear dark amber with a small rough off-white head. Aroma of sweet roasted malt - the smoke only leaves a discreet impression. Medium body with roasted malt, a little caramel and a whiff of metal. Again a very subdued smokiness deeper into this beer. The finish is dry. 050608 yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 8, 2008 33 cL bottle, trade with kappldav123. Pours clear and golden orange to amber with a lacing white head.
