Foerdifuxx (49) - Franconia, GERMANY - AUG 11, 2015
Clear apricot coloured beer with a small short-lasting off-white head. Malty aromas of caramel and grain, orange peel, grassy hops and some spices. In the beginning some roast malt, then fruityness with a bitter-sour finish. Minerals. Light body, fizzy carbonation, creamy texture.

Draft at the brewery in Uehlfeld. Lightly hazed amber gold with a foamy white head with sticky lacing. Faint aroma toffee / caramel syrup / caramel corn with a faint touch of toasty honey-like Munich malt. Oxidation shows an unpleasant off-note of copper pennies, and there is no noticeable aroma hops. Light bodied, moderately sweet with medium-low bitterness; low acid and low carbonation leave it syrupy and flabby in the mouth, the finish is short and the whole effect is very watery. Flavor is simple apricot jam hoppiness with toffee and honey malt and metal. Seems old in the keg, but I get a sense of what may be a pretty beer otherwise - apricots and toasted grain are about what I want in good Kellerbier, and this one shows some semblance of those characteristics but the expression is dull and the flavor balance is off. No fermentation flaws, just poor care would be my guess.

Erzengel (5638) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JAN 13, 2015
Many thanks to Kevnic2008 for this bottle. Best before 12.14. The beer is smooth, fresh. Nice bittered in the aftertaste, hints of grain, fresh but not too deep. A bit mouldy. Nice, hints of malt, round.

Kaum karbonisierter, leicht hopfig bitterer Antrunk. Dunkel herb, spritzig und würzig. Zum Ende hin wässrig. 6/9/9/7/7/8

Thanks to kevnic2008 for that one. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass not very zippy, small head. Starts mild, moldy-malty, some grasy notes. Not very dry. Shy hoppy background. Okay.

Pours an uncleat orange color, mid-sized white head. Bitter, slightly grainy with grassy and resiny hops that also add a citrusy touch.

MoritzF (8726) - looking for a flat around Munich, GERMANY - APR 30, 2012
(bottle, bought at the brewery-tap a couple of days ago) Hazy, golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Grainy and slightly buttery malty aroma with notes of herbal and woody hops in the background. Moderately bitter flavour, light bodied but not watery with a soft carbonation. Slightly buttery malt-character with drying, slightly woody hops from the beginning; dry and hop bitter, slightly woody finish. Fresh and flavourful. 24.IV.12
