33cl Bottle. Appearance is clear yellow color with medium, off-white head. Aroma is straight sugary sweetness with little to no other malt or hop distinction. Taste is also fairly sweet with candy sugar the main motif with some slight grassy hops. Palate is light-bodied, fairly smooth texture, slightly watery, average carbonation, and a sweet finish. Just you average, cheap Pilsner.

heavy (2270) - Split, CROATIA - SEP 3, 2011
25/08 0.33 l bottle from Bier Kultur nine-pack purchased at some Interspar, Villach. It poured pale yellow body with small, short living head. Stinky cornflakes, honey and stale socks in aroma. Flavor was all malt, acidic, somewhat metallic and corny, just like a NA beer, but a low quality one. No traces of hops, except at some point in its finish. Couldn’t finish it! And I thought it’s bad for a pale lager, now I see it’s declared as a pils! Hops please? How could I like it, something went wrong here! Might rerate sometime.

Bottle shared with and courtesy of heavy (thanks!)
Poured a yellow-golden body with a small head. Stale malty nose, notes of jam. The taste, however, improves a lot, an interesting lemongras-like aroma hop dominates, with the full, slightly dull and overbearing maltiness backing it up. Creamy. Ok, heavy really, REALLY didn’t like this one, dunno why. It’s a complex, solid lager that’d really shine with a better malty background, or fresh from the brewery. Not bad, definitely not bad.

Golden with a small white head. Clean malty aroma with biscuit and read crust character, and nice herbal hops. Sweetish malty flavour with a good hop character

ogivlado (6167) - Zagreb, CROATIA - AUG 26, 2010
Bottled 330ml. -from interspar Hallein. Yellow coloured, small white head that went away fast, dusty grainy nose. Moderate malty and quite bitter hoppy herbal taste with grainy notes. Strong bitterness in the finish. Surprisingly good Zwettler.

Shakesbeer (10) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - JUN 22, 2010
Brewed with tasty "Saphir" hop - therefore the name. Very nice nose, fruity, flowery, slightly yeasty. Small, quickly vanishing head. Average light golden appearance in the glass. Pleasant taste, mainly hoppy, still a hint of malty sweetness. Dry, hoppy, slightly acidic in the aftertaste. A well done Saphir Pilsener, but not the best Saphir beer I have tasted.

mross (169) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - JUN 21, 2010
Bottle. Pours a light golden colour with a small white head. Slight grassy and herbal hop aroma. Flavour is pleasant tasting, mostly of grain and hops. A surprisingly okay pilsner with a nice hop bitterness throughout.

Geiserich (3621) - Linz, AUSTRIA - MAY 22, 2010
Bottled: Pale golden color, low creamy head and low carbonation. Light hints of flowers, straw and hay aroma. Flavor is only light grainy, mainly hoppy with hints of flowers, hay and some herbs. Dry, bitter finish, light astringent. Dry bitter end. Quite ok but not to complex.
