Brown in the glass with a light beige head. The beer starts dry, a bit smooth, but not that easy drinkable. Very dry and slightly roasted. The mainpart is full flavoured, but still a bit watery. The body is light and the aftertaste is quite short without leaving something in the mouth.
--> Nice Dunkel, but could be a bit deeper in aroma --> 10/12/9/9

Thanks erzengel for sharing! Pours orangish brown, with a tan head. The smell is dark roasted malt, some fruit and brown sugar. The taste is like the nose ending dry. Light/medium body with silky carbonation.

On tap at the brewpub. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts mild, modest malty-roasty, almost no hoppy notes. Very mild finish, malty wheaty. Should be drier.

On tap at Zwiebel in the quaint town of Soest pouring up in a range of hues from gold at the edges to copper then to an amber core supporting a solid half inch tan head. The modest aroma offers up some caramel malts, caramel candy (just a touch) and faint vague hops. The taste is smooth bringing in caramel malt notes and then a mild level of roasted malts and spicy to floral hoppiness. Into the finish I get a pleasing malt graininess joining in and adding depth and interest to the experience.

1L swingtop bottle, thanks Kevin! Reddish brown colour, off white head. Aroma of dark fruits, light tart, grain, light roasted malts. Flavour is light sweet, dry, light roasted malts, cocoa, light tart dark fruits, paper, tart papery finish. Light bodied. Not bad, not great either.

(on tap at the Brauhaus Zwiebel in Soest) Hazy reddish amber colour with a moderate foamy off-white head. Shy aroma of toasted malt, shy hints of caramel and hops. Sweetbitter flavour, medium body, fizzy carbonation. Initially toastmalty with burnt elements, caramel; bitter malty finish with dense hoppy notes (28.01.06).

From tap. Clear ruby red colour. Off-white frothy head. First aroma that gets into my nose is vegetables. Not that bad, normal vegetable aroma, not the sewer plant kind. Then roastmalty and hoppy notes. The first sips fortunately reveal no vegetables, but a malty, sweet taste with molasses and a lightly hoppy and bitter finish. A drinkable dunkel.
