Thanks to erzengel for sharing! Pours golden yellow with some haze. The smell is grain, sweet malt. The taste is fruity, grainy ending a bit bitter and quite dry. Light in body with very fine carbonation.

1l-bottle. Slightly cloudy, golden in colour with a white head. The beer starts bitter, sharp, unround. Slightly sweet. The mainpart is bitter, slightly sweet, a bit grainy. Smooth as well due to the yeast.
--> a strange brew. Not really great, but also not that bad. --> 7/10/8/7

Powerful and robust unfiltered lager proving that beer should not be filtered and thus lose important flavors.

On tap at the brewpub. Beer in the glass not too zippy, nice head. Starts mild, fine malty, modest wheaty, not very dry. Finish still very mild and a bit boring. But quite drinkable.

On tap at Zwiebel in the quaint town of Soest pouring up clear gold with near white head and some spotty lacing. The light aroma offers up grainy malts and mild spicy hops. The taste begins with sweet maltiness and then rolls into a moderate level of noble hops giving up spicy and earthy and floral notes. This is a nice easy drinking and pretty right on style wise. This isn’t a style I seek out though.

Draught @ Brauhaus Zwiebel, Ulricherstr 24, Soest, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany 59494.

Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, malty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. IMO maybe a bit borring but no faults .. On tap at Brauhaus Zwiebel, Soest, June 2008. Quite cloudy mid gold colour. Some biscuity malt in the aroma, tending towards bready. Light, grassy hop touches in the flavour with a slightly sharp acidity emerging on the finish. Quite dry mouthfeel. Pleasant and easy-drinking, if unexceptional.

(on tap at the Brauhaus Zwiebel in Soest) Slightly hazy and pale golden colour with a small frothy and diminishing white head. Light sweet malty aroma with herbal hops with a dense soapy touch. Medium bitter flavour, medium to light bodied, crispy mouthfeel. Dry malty initial taste, slightly yeasty with a slim and dry hoppy finish with an intense and unbalanced bitterness. Still drinkable (28.01.06).
