Dark amber pour. Big tan head. Plenty of lacing. Big caramel aroma. Malt and vanilla. Smooth malt and caramel taste. Damn tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a hazy brown color with a smallish white head. Nose is very malt forward with a bit of a cereal element to it. Taste is a little sweet and actually has a bit of caramel coming through. Meh. Not a huge fan.

Bottle. Blew up when i opened it. Very big long lasting head. Just like the picture.Malty aroma, bread, caramel or toffee. Light body, mild flavor, smooth. Very plain taste wise. Not unpleasant, not very interesting either.

Draft. Very different than expected... looked flat with no head, a strange murky tan / light brown color. Tasted good though, a little sweet, but not too much. Would have again.

Bottle from Famila, pours reddish brown with a tight, fast settling off-white head. Fruity malty aroma with hints of melon, bread dough and strawberry. Body has sweetish malt, touches of tart plum, bread and bubblegum, hints of caramelised nuts, and a faint wineyness. Lovely.

Half litre flip-top bottle, poured into pint glass. Amber colour, hazy, large foamy off white head. Retention was outstanding. Aroma was cranberry, malt and dark chocolate, really had to think of a Dubbel or Doppelbock. Tasted cranberry, malt, dark chocolate and molasses. Only drawback was that it was slightly watery. Hints of slightly smokey malt in the finish. Smooth texture, decent carbonation, slightly heavy body but it worked. Only the fact that it was slightly watery held it back from being truly outstanding.

Bottle. Amber with a small head. Nice rural aroma of hay, flowers, toasted malt, nutty hints, toffee and dried fruit (plums and apples). The flavour is on the (dried) fruity side, with flowers and toffee. Light to medium body, light sweet, faint bitterness. A really good beer, though nothing groundbreaking.

This bottle was well within the best by date, but still seemed off. Nice nose of spicy continental hops and German malts. pours a pretty lightly cloudy copper. A hint of smokiness in the flavor is quite nice. All that said,my bottle was nearly flat with no head at all. Would like to try this fresh.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Below average with a bit of malt and smoked malt shining through. Nice when you have a meal beside but I would not drink a second.
