3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Half litre flip-top bottle, poured into pint glass. Amber colour, hazy, large foamy off white head. Retention was outstanding. Aroma was cranberry, malt and dark chocolate, really had to think of a Dubbel or Doppelbock. Tasted cranberry, malt, dark chocolate and molasses. Only drawback was that it was slightly watery. Hints of slightly smokey malt in the finish. Smooth texture, decent carbonation, slightly heavy body but it worked. Only the fact that it was slightly watery held it back from being truly outstanding.

Haselnussbraun, dicker weißer Schaum. Im Aroma malzbetont, Früchte (Banane?). Schöne Kohlensäure, mildes, süffiges Bier. Etwas süßlich, angenehm.

Maltiness shoed but remains discreet. Interesting to read up what a Dampfbier is. Maybe a good start for a tasting session to introduce the style?

A gusher. Thick white head which disappears quickly. Slightly hazy amber pour. An ok beer.

Light brown colour. Clear. Aroma and flavour are dominated by pale malt. Quite light on flavour but a nice refresher.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Malt forward with notes of bread, caramel, and grain (think cooked oatmeal or cream of wheat not corn grain like in commercial lagers). Amber with a touch of haze and a large white foam. Balanced but if anything a little sweet malt forward. Smooth in the mouth with a medium body and a creamy finish.

Dark amber pour. Big tan head. Plenty of lacing. Big caramel aroma. Malt and vanilla. Smooth malt and caramel taste. Damn tasty.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy brown color with a smallish white head. Nose is very malt forward with a bit of a cereal element to it. Taste is a little sweet and actually has a bit of caramel coming through. Meh. Not a huge fan.

Bottle. Blew up when i opened it. Very big long lasting head. Just like the picture.Malty aroma, bread, caramel or toffee. Light body, mild flavor, smooth.
Very plain taste wise. Not unpleasant, not very interesting either.

Draft. Very different than expected... looked flat with no head, a strange murky tan / light brown color. Tasted good though, a little sweet, but not too much. Would have again.

Bottle from Famila, pours reddish brown with a tight, fast settling off-white head. Fruity malty aroma with hints of melon, bread dough and strawberry. Body has sweetish malt, touches of tart plum, bread and bubblegum, hints of caramelised nuts, and a faint wineyness. Lovely.
