BlackHaddock (3797) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - SEP 22, 2014
Half-litre bottle shared outside the PoohDog bar in Birmingham on 17th Sep 2014 with a few blokes I know. Sweet brew, clear brown pour with a thin off white head, toffee maltiness in the aroma, taste has the same, sweet toffee, with caramel and dark fruits. Medium bodied and well carbonated, a mid-range, decent Doppelbock but lacked real class or depth of flavour.

Bottle courtesy of BlackHaddock cheers Jezza; clear chestnut brown pour with a thin bubbly off white head, bread and rich toffee aroma, taste has sweet toffee, bread, a hint of dark fruits.

Bottle from Rick, Jeez and Bladdock. Standard D’Bock - but das ist intended as complimenten, nicht slaggen oft. Handbag, leather, sticky tobbaschen. It not smixhten. Roghhent aft jahren. Quit nict. Up pen.

Bottle. Amber colored beer with medium white head. Aroma of caramel malt, syrup, herbal hops. Taste, caramel malt, honey, nuts, some fruits. Good doppelbock.

Pours dark amber. Warming aroma of alcohol, dark fruits. Malty taste, some sweet cola and a little spice.

allmyvinyl (3420) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 4, 2014
500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours dark amber, clear, with a big off-white head. First beer I’ve had that really smells of boiled sweets. Like childhood. Far too sweets taste though, and a sticky finish. Not good.

Klassischer Doppelbock ohne grosse Ueberraschungen. Malzig, leicht muffig, zum Ende hin mit einer gewissen Suesse versehen. Ganz ok.

McTapps (4142) - Ruhrcity, North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - APR 20, 2014
Pours out of the bottle in a deep brown colour with low head and smooth body. Aroma of barley and malt. Taste of barley, hops, malt, caramel, honey and straw. Easy and smooth to drink, not a bad Doppelbock.

Bottle 50cl from Quack-Duck. A nice clear amber beer with medium head. Nose is on barley sugar and caramel. Aroma is sweet on barley sugar and caramel, toasted grain, creamy, alcohol touch at the finish with apple notes. Peppery hops.

0.5 l bottle at Timo A’s. Dark amber color. Sweet bready and caramelly aroma. Sweet caramelly and bready flavor with warming alcohol. No faults, but I found this too sweet and caramelly.
