Bottle @ home.
Clear medium to light dark yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted, moderate yeasty, barnyard, notes fruity - apple. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (230408)

A hazy orange beer with a small beige head. The aroma is sour with notes of oranges - quite boring. The flavor is sweet malty with a weird spice combination, that I can’t put names to. Thanks Carlo (lachesis) for giving Jeppe this.

33 cL bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours cloudy dark orange with a huge white head. Aroma is mild phenolic and slight fruity yeasty. Mild fruity, yeasty and light phenolic flavoured. Mild citric touch. Smooth fruity and yeasty flavoured finish.

(Bottle 33 cl) Also spelled "Zwÿntje"! Brewed for the town festival in Zwijnaarde. Pale golden and hazy with a tall and thick head. Sweetish and malty beer with a huge sediment. Fruity notes and a bitter finish. Very standard Van Steenberge. 190302

Bottled. Hazy orange colour with mediumsized white head. Aroma is citric fruity and a bit yeast. Flavour is citrus, sweet malts, caramel and alcohol. Unbalanced and too sweet in my opinion. Some slight hints of spices also.

Bottled. Clearyellow coloured with a white head. Spicy aroma with fruity notes. Fruity flavour with spicy and acidic notes. Thanks Carlo.

Bottled. Cloudy golden, brief creamy head. Aroma of pineapple and banana. Sweet and nearly full bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Low bitterness. A flavourful, solid offering from van Steenberge.

Bottle. Fruity, metallic aroma with a dash of honey. Almost clear golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is peppery and the aftertaste acidic. Standard Belgian strong.

Bottle @ Willems, Belgium. Pours dark golden with a frothy white foam and lacings. Yeasty and spicy nose and flavor. A bit of dark fruit. Full bodied. Ok

Moederbier Augustijn
Light blond color, huge head (too much carbonation). The aroma is dry and very spicy. The body is medium, with dry mouthfeel and flavor, spicy as well, with a very light sweetness, and a bit of alcohol punch. Pleasant.
