500 ml bottle from Valli Produce on Apine Ave, Loves Park IL. Iím using half of this to simmer bratwursts, I suspect that will turn out to be of greater purpose than drinking. Anyway, it pours a dark, muddy copper with a moderate, lasting head and thick lacing as the foam dissipates... reasonably decent caramel-malty aroma, perhaps a hint of corn but nothing tragic certainly, also a bit of smoke.... lightly smoky-roasty character mixing with caramel malts, undone by a thin, watery body and an almost nonexistent finish... this is absolutely drinkable compared to many of the filtered mass-produced Eastern European lagers that are omnipresent in this area, but thatís about all that can be said for it.

Karmelowe, pustawe, słodkie. Nic odrzucającego, ale jest bardzo mało wyraziste. Alkohol ukryty poprawnie.

Drugie podejście do żywieckiego Bocka... Ciemnomiedziany kolor i niewielka, lekko beżowa piana. W aromacie dość ubogo - trochę karmelu i lekka nuta alkoholowa.

Tyle.

Where and how: bottle 500 ml
Aromamalty sweet with aromatic nutty feel. Mild soft phenols at finish. 6+
Appearance :
Top: smaller cap, long lasting white. Rings on glass.
Base: clear amber with hints of red.
Palate : medium plus bodied, smooth with average plus carbonation. Slightly chewy.
Taste: mild malty lager with slight alcohol dryness to it. As macro, not bad over all.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is dark amber. Aroma is moderately malty (grain, nuts, malt syrup, caramel), with a light note of sherry. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. A pretty generic semi-sweet malty beer. A few days past the best-by date (but best-by dates are useless if you donít know when it was bottled, as brewers routinely wildly overestimate a beerís longevity...this could be a year old for all I know), so maybe itís a little better when fresher, but itís not showing much promise as-is.

Shared 16.9 oz. bottle. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, with plenty of malt and caramel. Taste is malt, caramel, and bread. Not as sweet as the aroma indicated. Disappointing.
