3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
The commercial deScription states "Zywiec has a hoppy nose and a pleasant golden hue"
Iím not typically a big fan of beers this hoppy, but whatever hops is in this stuff is delicious. The frothy head poured a full inch above the rim of the glass withous spilling down the side. Impressive.
Not the kind of beer Iíd wanna drink with a slice of pepperoni pizza, but delicious on its own. Itís hoppy in a delicious way, and if you donít like it, thereís something wrong with you.
P.S. this beer is NOT Heineken. Donít even let anybody trick you into thinking this is some silly bitter maltless overcarbonated trash. This is what Heineken dreams of being.

I should ahve known... itís a heineken! Not bad, certainly not good. Itís a lager and a dull malty hoppy snooze.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Standard lager color. Grassy and malty aroma, little bit of sweet too. Flavor reminds me of some good czech lagers: little bit of fruity and sweet, end is mildly hopped. These Polish lagers divide into 2 gategories: good ones that have NO skunky gras flavor and then others that have. This goes definitely into first section

Golden color with a small white head. The taste is watery with a light bitterness. Thin and boring.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: OCT 22, 2005 A drinkable pale lager, nice yellow color, nice bubbles, and a quickly disappearing white head. There are much better Polish brews, despite their commercial deScription.

Eh? was really disappointed by this one. Poured a disturbing pale yellow color, Flavor was all malts and the malts were bland very bland. Beer smelled of malts too. kind of disappointing.

Nothing to call home about, especially if thereís long-distance charges involved. I thought this was very neutral and dull, but maybe Iíll give it a shot next time Iím in Poland. I hear their Porter is the shiznit.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Yellow/golden, not much head. Aroma is malty, almost sweet, from caramel. Flavor brings some dark sugar and caramel, with hoppy touches.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice medium golden color. Smells mostly of grains. Has a somewhat sweet flavor. A little bit of a hop taste as well. One of the better pale lagers I have tried.
