Bottle, 50cl. Clear, golden colour, small head which quickly disappeared. Grainy, cereal aromas. Light, with quite a strawy taste. Acute bitter almost vinegary finish, with a malty aftertaste. Pleasant Polish lager, though Warka is, I think, is better.

Draught in Krakow. I think it was called Zywiec Pils on the (English) drinks list, but I presume this is the same beer. Golden colour, moderate head, moderate carbonation. A fairly decent standard pils in my book.

(0,5L Can) Pours beautiful golden, with white fluffy and disapperaing head. Taste is fruity, somewhat sweet, good bitterness and with crisp hop taste.

Nothing special, but still much much better than the average lager.. :-)

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2006 Classic lager, not enough strong in taste for me. I’m not a big fan of beer coming from poland and this one is maybe too ordinary.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2010 Bottle. Pours to a clear golden color with a large fluffy white head that was slow to dissipate. Medium, yet mild carbonation. Surface of the beer is lacey when head dissipates. Aroma of flowery hops and malts. Aroma is not the best feature of this beer. Starts mild with a sweet character that leads to biscuity malt and then to spicey hop, and finishes bitter, with a clean finish, leaving a malty after-taste. Wonderful to the palate, giving a very smooth and crisp, refreshing taste. Not the most complex of lagers or pilsners, but a wonderful, well rounded beer. Great for any time, but especially after a long day or after a round of golf. I truly love to kick back and relax with this beer in hand. Its one of my all-around favorites.

FInally i tried it and was not big deal, a little sweet and not tiring as most of Pilseners, but it was not big deal.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2009 12 oz. Bottle. Spotted in a billiard hall’s lighted beer cooler. Had a "Best by 2-10-06," but maybe that meant October 2, not Feb. 10. Pretty standard pale lager pour and head. A mostly decent smell, may have been a bit oxidized. But I found the taste to be surprisingly engaging. Some malts to notice, and bit of a grainy texture. But it has a rather aggressive hop profile that doesn’t normally survive in a bottled European import (thank you brown bottle!). A bit spicy, definitely noble hops at work here. I asked the bartender if she’s tried it, and was told "Oh, I don’t drink Polish beers." Too bad, this one’s the best thing she’s got in that bar.

Short white head on a golden yellow body. The general impression is "ordinary". The flavour is wanting, and it is a little watery. Not much to say about this one!

Pitiful pale golden appearance with nary so much as a head at all. Aroma is a little grassy and taste is,...well I’m sure there is something there, sort of like a bitter grass and dry hop taste with a watery but ever so slightly sweet flavor. On one hand the palate is actually buttery and that was a nice suprise, on the other hand there is just no flavor here to warrant any respect.
