A dull golden appearance. A weak aroma almost orange/citrus. Flavour reminds me of corn and grain. An average lager

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz. bottle. Dark yellow with a big fluffy head that didnít last very long. Aroma is a lot of sugary grains and some sweet malt. Taste is very sweet malt as well with a grainy sourness rounding it out. Surprisingly nice malty finish. A little run-of-the-mill but easy to drink and really not bad.

Picked up a couple of bottles of Polish beer while visiting friends. Pours a dull yellow, what little head there is quickly disappears. subdued sweet malt taste. finishes nicely though. Not the greatest by any means, but iíve definitely had worse in Poland

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Everyday, run-of-the-mill beer for Poland. Iíve had it on tap and in the bottles with no big differences. Easy to drink, but nothing spectacular.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Grainy and sweet aroma has some herbal notes. Brilliantly clear golden body is topped by a fluffy white head that recedes to a light partial cover that lasts well and leaves some lace. Sweetness up front with grainy character, light but notable bitterness and some lemony citrus notes. Light body with strong carbonation. Very thirst quenching. Simple but well-made. Tulip glass. Fridge temperature. Bottle (BB 25/05/2007, LCBO, Dec-06).

"Zywiec Oryginalny", can alc. 5.6% (BB 02/2007).
Pale golden color, small creamy white head, some lace. Grainy, cardboard-nose. Cardboardish malty, slightly harsh flavor. Some sweetness in the finish. Quite papery and grainy flavor overall. Much worse than same companyís Warka.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
500 mL bottle. Orange-gold with almost no head. Aroma is very weak. I detect malt and a little citrus. I think. Not heavily carbonated. Malt is the dominant flavour. Some sweetness. Corn. If you really concentrate, you can find the hops at the end. Crisp. Could be worse, I suppose.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear, rich, gold color, with a faint head. Very minimal lacing. Sweet malt/yeast aroma. Initial flavor is dominated by malts, but the hops prevail in the end. Nice, gentle bitterness lingers for a while, too. Iím sure Iíd rate this beer much higher if I was drinking it fresh in Poland. Anyone care to send me there so I can do a re-rate?

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: DEC 8, 2006 A touch of faintly smoky malt in the nose. Bright gold lagery pour. Gently malty with some subtle, cereal-like afternotes. Rice and maize? Not a sniff of hops. Desperately watery and neutral-tasting for a 5.5 percenter. Partially redeemed by the handy beer-thermometer on the bottle.
