2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours out to a clear golden color with a thin white head. Light grainy notes and european hop character in the nose. Grainy flavor followed by a light, refreshing bitterness.
Not a world beater, but a somewhat tasty pilsener.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
330 mL bottle. Pours pure gold with a faint white edgy film and some thin lned lacing. Sour malt (corn, grain) and yest (dough, horse blanket and sweat) aromas. Malt and barley, yeast combined flavor with and acidic sour hop finish and creamed corn notes. Fizzy and burpy light bodied palate.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The draught version is very refreshing after a hot day’s work in the Warsaw. The canned version is deceptively strong @5.6% - better than UK Stella but not as good as Budvar.

In my last trek to Poland, I saw Zywiec everywhere. So, I made it my beer of choice. I would not say that it was exceptional, but it wasn’t repulsive either. This is a beer that you drink out in restaurants and bars. It is not necessarily a beer that you drink with food, or to simply enjoy the taste of a fine beer. Though, I would still give it a thumb’s up! Enjoy Zywiec... Polskie Piwo!!

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours gold with a slight amber tint—darker than I expected. Very small head and medium effervescence. Nutty and papery aroma. Not too promising. Basic pale lager taste with a little extra malt backbone and, if you can believe it, a very slight hint of honey. Semi-dry finish. Not good, but not the worst you can get. Probably a good Crappy European Lager to buy because the amber bottle prevents skunking.

From the bottle. A slight funky aroma coming from this beer, maybe it was the bottle, i dunno. I do know that the flavor was a lot better. Subtle, sweet malt flavor with a slight citrus, acidic like tange. Rather refreshing for a hot summer day.

Had this one in Windsor, first Polish beer that I think I have had, nothing outstanding but overall appealling, should have bought another to get a true sense for it

My first Polish beer. I’ve had a few prior to this one so I’ll give a proper review later on... But as it stands, I like it! (500ml bottle)
