3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A bottle of 500 ml, at home, poured in a tall wide glass. I think I got this in Germany.
Nice pale golden-yellow colour with a one finger head. Strong smell as I pour it.Mostly malts and hops. The head is still there, covering the surface, now only 5 milimetres in height. Nice taste, although a bit weird, apples (?) Nice on the palate too, medium thickness and average carbonation.
Overall, quite good beer

As pale as you would expect from Eurolager with a persistent covering of white head. Sweetish corn-like aroma (without the suggestion of DMS) and a fluffy, sweet body. Pleasant enough for a session.

Flaske delt med esp0r. Lys gylden, klar med lite skum.moderat karnonert. Smaker lys malt, gress og hint av krydder. Ingen dum drikkbar lager

Lekkie piwo, o delikatnym smaku. Niezbyt gorzkie. Ogólnie nie jest źle, ale rewelacji też nie ma :)

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20

Medium amber with a small white head that doesn’t last. Light malt and grain. Light sweet toffee and only minimal bitterness. Light thin mouth with soft carbonation. Crisp finish. Just a pale lager, better than some.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle poured in a chalice.
A Heineken after all.
A: Clear golden-yellow color. Small white head that dissipates leaving few lacings
S: Simple. Malt, hops and yeasts
T: Simple too. Malt is very evident, nice moderated bitterness and the very traditional Heineken yeasts. Interesting how Heineken is able to be really Heineken everywhere... :)
M: Very light and watery body. Reasonable carbonation. Good bitterness is the really and only positive point
D: Not bad

On tap at a cafe in Zgorzelec, Poland. A light, fresh beer that tastes a lot more like a german Pilsner than the way RateBeer classifies this as a "Pale Lager". Maybe getting it fresh, close to the source made it better, but I thought this beer was much better than the reviews give credit for. Light body, but a moderate hop presence, crisp mouthfeel. Little sweetness, and lightly bitter. Very refreshing, easy to drink but with some depth, and without any objectionable qualities. I think I even prefer it to the Landskron pilsner that you can get on the German side of the river! I also thought the alcohol was well masked...I can’t taste that this beer is at 5.6%, many beers that are this light and have this much alcohol have a sort of boozy quality that I dislike, and others are too heavy. Yet another thing I like about this one!

Actually found this to be kid of sour. Certainly, this is without the depth or richness of an Urquell or Staropramen. Very easy to chug, though.

Can from The Ship Heworth. Pours dark yellow, medium head. Grassy, slight bitterness. Okay. Reasonably satisfying Polish lager
