COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zywiec Porter, pronounced "je-vi-ets", is a dark, strong beer brewed according to the traditional recipe from 1881, with the Munich malt and special malts for caramel and color plus the highest quality aromatic hops. Everything together creates a unique combination of taste. Production of this Porter was moved to Bracki Bowar in 2004 .

Pours a jet black. Seriously, I can’t see through this beer. It has a brown head. Aroma is of sweet chocolate, roasted malts and bitter brownness. Taste is roast, sweet dark malts and asphalt. This is a super bargain price for this beer. Very good Baltic porter.

Bottle pours dark brown/black with a small khaki head. Aroma of dark fruits, dark malts, and caramel. Taste has a nice hop presence, bready, malts, and chocolate. Simple, nice.

Thanks Gerard Duchemin! Ő a sörök Unicum keserűje! Le a kalappal!

5 Jan 2012, bottle. dark brown, almost black, thick, foamy head. burnt raisins, wet oak, fermenting wet bread. really rich and diverse. full body and a bit fizzy. burnt caramel, some bitter woody notes, alcohol isn’t as big a flavor as in the nose. burnt malty porter. smell is very exciting. taste is great but not as exciting. i love this!

The ultimate beer for pauper beer snobs, a delicious and very strong baltic porter that sells for about the same as a tallboy of bud light. That’s right, you CAN drink right, even when you’re broke. Pours black with a tan head that fades quickly, much like your usual imperial stout, but with a thinner mouthfeel, not as heavy. Taste is pretty intense if you want this to be a session beer. This is a beer for those who love dark, strong beers. Finish is marred by a slightly unbalanced astringency. Although I wouldn’t trade it for a top-page Imperial Stout, Zywiec Porter is hands down the best beer for its price, and a solid choice regardless.

Cheers Colin for cracking this bottle. Had this next to the Okocim Porter. Pours a very dark brown colour with a thin, light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, caramel and alcohol. Similar flavours of dark chocolate and caramel. Rum and raisin chocolate to finish and well masked alcohol. Just edges it out for me.

12/28/11. 500mL bottle courtesy Seminole! Black pour, browns under the light, with a small khaki head that fades. Sweet, fruity aroma with soy sauce and a bit of chocolate and roast. Sweet, fruity entry that fades to dry roast with a big metallic tinge. Not bad, but expected more.
