COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zywiec Porter, pronounced "je-vi-ets", is a dark, strong beer brewed according to the traditional recipe from 1881, with the Munich malt and special malts for caramel and color plus the highest quality aromatic hops. Everything together creates a unique combination of taste. Production of this Porter was moved to Bracki Bowar in 2004 .

Bottle (33 cl), thanks jhagmar. Dark brown, almost black, short beige head. Roasted aroma with chocolate, some coffee, and a touch of alcohol. Well balanced dry finish. Chewy mouthfeel. Quite good, but a bit dull. Overrated.

A sweet malty aroma. Looks good. This is strange. It isn’t bad; it just isn’t that good. A little roasy, way too dry in the finish. Ehh.

Pours very dark, tan head, rather large bubbles and lacing. Tons of roasted mat, coffee, and alcohol in the aroma. Alcohol overpowers some of the other flavors you’d expect from the nose. Decent, but a bit one dimensional.

Another beer provided courtesy of my brother (pojo41). Poured almost completely black with small off-white head/tan that dissipated quickly. Aroma was of roasted malt and coffee. Flavor was also of roasted malt, coffee, and also chocolate. Nice mouthfeel. Coudnt believe this was 9.5% abv as it was hidden well. Dangerously drinkable.

Bottle. Poured a nearly black color with a light brown head that didn’t last. Nice dark roasted malt aroma. flavor of dark raosted malt with a bit of chocolate and coffee. A good, almost oily mouthfeel. Very much like a robust porter but, with the clean crisp flavor of a lager. Almost like a jacked-up schwarzbier A very good Baltic Porter.

Dark, almost black with a thick tan head. Malty and fruity notes. Sweet, malty and some sourness. Medium body with a bitter sweet aftertaste.

Now here we have a remarkable beer. Abundance of character. all of the clasic baltic porter hallmarks coupled with individualistics such as roastiness, darker grains and perhaps a special yeastoid. Poured with a tan head, lots of lace and pitch black color. Opaque. perfect balance between bitter and sweet, with enough body to compliment the works. Bravo. almost robust enough to be too much of a beer for the session lablel. tough it out bro.

Thin brown head with a deep black body. Lots of chocolate/caramel malts in here. My only complaint is the heavy aroma of alcohol that overpowers some of the malt flavors.
