| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 18, 2009 Bottle. Pours extremely dark brown, almost completely black with a tan head that leaves nice lacing. Roasted coffee beans dominate the aroma but there are also subtle hints of vanilla, chocolate and coal. A slight burnt taste meshes well with flavours of mocha, cocoa, malt and salty mixed nuts. A great porter with a complex flavour that is also excellent value. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jul 24, 2009 Pour a very dark brown with a small tan head.
Aroma first of all is banana! Crazy! Then espresso and toasted + roasted malts. There’s some soft alcohol as well as oatmeal in the background. For a porter there a fair bit of sweetness (banana and caramel).
Flavours are quite different, with cocoa, roasted grains (almost charred) and ash. Quite soft though. Delicate alcohol. Quite a lot of sweet caramel notes still.
Thick, rich body. Great creamy carbonation. Warming alcohol on the back of the palate. Travlr (837), Washington, Washington DC, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 17, 2009 Bottle from some alcohol-shop in Krakow. Pours a black/very dark brown color with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted and malty with nice traces of chocolate. Flavour is also roasted with coffee, chocolate and liquorice. Body is medium, and the liquid is very smooth. I like it! Would love to try it again. It was very nice after a lot of premium lagers otherwise found in Poland...
