Strong yeasty and coffee aroma, burnt caramel flavours with a bitter lingering aftertaste. I like it a lot!

500ml bottle pours out very dark brown with a small mocha head. FIzzy and dissipating. Dark sweet carmelized sugar, prunes. Plenty of bitter roast in the flavor. Strong robust with some bitter sweet chocolate. Some chalkiness in the finish. Tasty

Pours black like any good porter should. Aroma is rich toffee and subtle coffee and chocolate. Flavour is much the same, but unbelievably smooth ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Recenzja 8 lipca 2011 Piękna czarna barwa, piana spora i długo się otrzymująca, zdecydowanie bardziej wytrawne niż większość innych polskich porterów

Serving type: bottle Appearance- Pours bark brown with a slight red highlight, nice tan head and good lacing Aroma- Roasted malts and chocolate T/P- Can really tatse the roasted malt almost to the point that they taste burnt(bitter). Chocolate is defiantly there also Overall- Not bad as far as drink ability goes, defiantly got better the longer it sat and it warmed up a little. The burnt taste was somewhat distracting in it and for me caused it to not be super high on the drink ability scale.

Drank this in Krakow in 2010. Mild caramel, chocolate, coffee, roasty, alcohol, opaque dark brown color, brownish frothy head, good retention, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, full bodied, creamy texture, bittersweet finish, hints of caramel, coffe and chocolate, a bit sharp on the tongue. A beer like a meal.

My first Polish beer, which is only personally significant b/c my ancestry is Polish. A nice porter, very heavy dark appearance but an unexpectedly lighter flavor. Appetizing roasty aroma. Taste is sweet and sour with a mild coffee aftertaste. I am not usually a big fan of porters but as this one features a mild intensity of flavors I thoroughly enjoy Zywiec. No off flavors and not overbearing. Despite being 9.5% no noticeable alcohol in taste. Surprisingly drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Strong alcoholic taste, overall quite simple (not complex or harmonized) taste, boring bread aroma, strong bitterness. No coffee or chocolate at all...
