COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zywiec Porter, pronounced "je-vi-ets", is a dark, strong beer brewed according to the traditional recipe from 1881, with the Munich malt and special malts for caramel and color plus the highest quality aromatic hops. Everything together creates a unique combination of taste. Production of this Porter was moved to Bracki Bowar in 2004 .

500ml bottle in a snifter. Pours very dark brown with a lacy, beige head. Aroma of roasted and caramel malts with a hint of smokiness and a little hops. This is a typical porter but tastes a little more metallic than most beers. Average texture. Worth trying, but not the best.

Dark brown, almost black with a brown head. Strong aroma of coffee. Taste is tart, not as strong as some porters.

Pitch black no head and full bodied. Roasted malts are obvious. Only 9.5% I swear it’s a lie. Goes down a little harsh and I can feel it in my chest.

Bottle. Jet black with a caramel head. Aroma is roasted with slight metallic notes. Flavour is strong caramel and a roasted chocolate that really hangs on the back of the throat. Finish is dry roast.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2011 Pretty darn tasty, but I think my bottle may have suffered from advanced age. Still, says a bit about the quality of this brew, since the roastiness and dry finish managed to tame the sweetness of too-ripe malts. The fresher the better.

Rich and flavorful, chocolate, hints of coffee, and a huge sweetness. thick mouthfeel. This is this Brewery’s big hitter.

Bottle picked up for just $2 at a small Euro Deli in Palm Coast, FL. Poured a deep dark brown (near black) with a finger thick tan, creamy head. Aroma was surprisingly light with notes of caramel malt sweetness. Taste was intensely roasty and bitter with a nice body. Taste vs. aroma is quite the difference. Finish is extremely dry and metallic. Great overall.
