Zywiec Porter, pronounced "je-vi-ets", is a dark, strong beer brewed according to the traditional recipe from 1881, with the Munich malt and special malts for caramel and color plus the highest quality aromatic hops. Everything together creates a unique combination of taste. Production of this Porter was moved to Bracki Bowar in 2004 .

a big beer - chocolate and coffee and caramel aplenty, lots of body which is nice - extra "complexity" courtesy of solventy fusels and vegetal flavours, which are not too much to wreck it, fortunately, but still detract a bit. Once you get past that itís pleasant. Plenty of malt heft. i expected worse, this isnít bad at all.

Sharp bitter, toasty and surprisingly good. Pours black with good head and lacing. Dark chocolate with a bitter end with some okay booze notes. Hints of caramelized malt. Bottle.

A very fine porter, full-bodied, great mouthfeel, and a powerful alcoholic kick, all in all a great drink. Much better than most US and UK porters and stouts with their watery aftertaste and lack of real strength, this porter has it all and it comes in a nice bottle with a simple, effective label. Highly recommended!

Tasted at La table du bon roi Stanislas (Nancy, France), with quail sirloins wraped in smoked ham and then with chestnut marzipan cake and coffee sauce - both very enjoyable match. Black colour, dark beige foam like wich leaves nice laces. Smell and taste of toast, dried fruit, coffee, candi sugar.

Pitch black color, nice pale brown head. Aroma is chocolate, dried fruits, some cherry. Taste is dry, dark chocolate flavor, small bitterness, some fruits, almost no alcohol. Great complex baltic porter.

500ml bottle brought by a Polish friend. Pours dark brown/black with a thin head. Roasted malt/chocolate aroma. Roasted chocolate taste. I like the fact that i still have a few in the cellar.

BB: 21.08.2016, so the fresh one. Aroma is roasted malt, some chocolate. Dark brown colour with tall brown-ish head. Taste is slightly metallic at the beginning, but after a while does not bother. Roasted malts, caramel and dark chololate at the finish with alcoholic warming.

Large bottle from Roots Market Olney. Opaque stout/porter black/brown with tall brown head. Roasted malt aroma with hint of plums. Taste is roast malt with hints of light coffee and a booziness that mimics a whiskey barrel. Though this is not imperial it feels pretty close to being double digit ABV. Nice roast malt finish, I enjoyed this Baltic porter.

Bomber from Wilburís. Appearance: 2 fingers tan to light red head, brown color, clear to opaque, good lacing. Aroma: roast on exhale, nutty, stone fruitiness, light molasses. Palate: full body, average to soft carbonation, bitter finish, alcohol warming. Taste: sweet molasses and caramel with nuttiness coming through, going into light fruitiness, with assertive bitterness coming through with decent alcoholic warming. Overall, very nice, very true to style, very good.
