Bottled(330ml). -The best Polish beer according to rates on RB and the best of my 30 Polish beers that I’ve tried. Deep black coloured, medium brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted maltand coffee with notes of prunes and currant. Strong bitter chocolate lasting aftertaste.

Pours a basically opaque black with a tan head. Nose is distinct with chocolate. I like! Flavor is just as good. Mature and robust with a smooth and not too harsh profile. Chocolate and mature malt tomes. Feel is thick with carbonation and smooth with ingredients. Extremely drinkable. After sampling several porters from the region over the past few weeks, this is by far one of the top ones...if not THE top one. Very worth trying,

This is a nice, smooth, but very flavourful Polish porter. It is black red with a fairly loarge, very long-lasting light brown head leaving very nice lace. The aroma is chocolatye, coffee, wine, prunes, and brown sugar. The taste is rich, with a lot of strong, complex flavours, but it is very smooth and blends very niely. It has a rich prune-chocolate-wine-burnt sugar character with lements of licorice, black pepper, and coffee. It’s smooth and a little oily but less than one might expect for this richness. It has a warmth to it, but the high alcohol is not notcieable at all except in the silky body and warm sweetness.

500ml bottle to glass. Pours deep red/brown/pepsi/black. Aroma of dark fruit, malt, heaven and pixy dust with a hint of tears from God Himself. Taste is initially sweet, rounded off by a roasted dark chocolate/caramel/blackberry/smokey/cherry/crazy finish. Alcohol is present, which in this case, is a good thing. It helps magnify the many virtues of this amazing beer. It drinks equally well on a hot July night or in the dead of winter. Possibly the perfect porter. Oh yeah, AND it f*cks you up fast! Best bang for your buck in the world! Thanks Poland!!

Zapach z butelki: Kawa zbożowa z czekoladą, skórka ciemnego chleba, suszone śliwki. Piana: Brązowa drobnoziarnista, dość nietrwała. Redukuje się do kożuszka. Oblepia szkło. Kolor: Ciemnobrązowe, klarowne z jasnobrązowymi refleksami. Zapach: Kawa zbożowa z likierem, pralinkami, truflami. Za nią gorzka czekolada z rodzynkami. Smak: Wysoka paloność, kawowość. Spora podbudowa w postaci głębokiej słodyczy przełamanej przez likierowość i kwaśność słodów palonych. Tekstura: Gęste i ciężkie, wykleja podniebienie palonością. Nasycenie: Średnio-niskie. Goryczka: Średnio-wysoka, nieco agresywna i gryząca.

Couldn’t be more excited to review my first Baltic Porter, and this Polish beauty was a hell of a way to start into the style. Appearance seduced me right away. Almost-black body, creamy head, sticky lacing. Smell is huge and assertive. Cocoa, coffee, syrupy fruit aromas, and a whole lotta booze. Flavor follows the nose. Rich, spicy cocoa at the fore; fresh, strong coffee after that; and boozy fruit finishing things off with prune, plum, currant, and dry sherry. This Porter is the perfect match for a fine cheese and a cold evening. Until now, this was a beer that I’ve seen before but knew little about it. Glad I know about it, now!
