Founded in 2010 as Truman's Beer. Beers initially brewed at Nethergate and Everards pending the building of their own brewery. Moved into their own brewery in Summer 2013 in 3 Stour Road, Hackney Wick. Brewery closed in June 2022 and the company renamed to Big Penny in September 2022 following the sale of the trademark.
